Need help w/ Wireless Adapter

So I just built a new pc, loaded windows and then the driver for my wireless adapater(Linksys WMP54G). Sadly I could get a connection to the router, but I only sent packets, I couldn't receive any. Therefore I didn't have access to the net. I'm pretty sure on how to fix this problem now, but I screwed myself along the way. What happened was I got frustrated and uninstalled the driver and then reinstalled it. I failed to realize that I needed to remove the card before I reinstalled. So it ended up only installing partially, some error during install. Anyways when I go to try and uninstall it the Uninstall wizard says the file can't be found. If anyone can tell me how to approach this problem please help. Mainly I'm just curious about how to remove the driver, so if anyone has any suggestions please let me know.

Worst case scenario is I'd have to reload Windows, which I'd rather not have to do.

take card out, restart in safe mode

go to hardware details or device manager dunt remember name in english, click in show hidden or unused devices and delete the card. Restart, reinstall driver, turn off, inserd card, etc, etc
