I'm pretty sure that at the point you kill someone from being a drunk driver, you qualify as a murderer. I think he just meant that people who get caught driving drunk need to be educated and not incarcerated, because they're reckless but haven't killed anyone.
Yeah, because I'm sure all the education we were supposed to get in high school, driver's ed, and the general media isn't enough to convince that intoxicants and heavy machinery don't mix.

I know our jails are overcrowded and shit as it is, but apparently prison doesn't scare people enough to stop them from infringing on my right to not go out and get t-boned by a jackass three times over the legal limit.

Sometimes I wonder how better off mankind would be if we didn't discover booze.

She's a stuck up drunk celebrity, if she ever does get into a serious car crash I guarantee you she'll be driving a titanium reinforced pink hummer plowing through a shoddy school bus full of nuns.

She will be completely unharmed of course, and I'm sure it will be a very traumatic experience for her. Probably hire someone to write a book about it.
Like me when I went to court for my DWI. 6 months probation, rehab, and 30 hours of volunteer work. My book comes out next month btw.
    Is it a detailed How-To?
Yah, get a ride home when you go out.

Well we did but it was a crazy night with a lot of fights at a party, and I was 20, and thought I was unstoppable. Now I have a DD and take the taxis from bars

When you have 5+ bars in walking distance from your apartment, you don't plan on mobile movement.

The joys of living in a town drunker than... quick, someone give me a humorous point of comparison.

    Murderers belong in prison.

Drunk drivers just need to wear electonic breath monitors that can automatically signal their probation officer.
In 2005 16,692 people were killed by murder, 16,885 people were killed by drunk driving.

Drunk drivers are a greater threat to your freedom to live than murders.
Not exactly. I'm near-positive that in 2005 there were millions of drunk driving incidents that did not kill people. Comparatively, there were 16,692 incidents of murder that ended in death. Technically a murderer is much more likely to kill you than a drunk driver.

Now not to say I agree with drunk driving...I've lost friends and family to drunk drivers. I'm just against the arbitory BAC levels they decide that do not actually determine how drunk you are or if you're in good shape to drive.

What about all those LUCKY people paralyzed for life or put into vegetable states by drunk drivers? I bet they are just thrilled that they were hit by a drunk driver and didn't have to encounter a murderer.

Paris Hilton was taken from a courtroom screaming and crying Friday seconds after a judge ordered her returned to jail to serve out her entire 45-day sentence for a parole violation in a reckless driving case.
