It might just be a joke on this guy's friend you never know, something about the demenor in the video didn't strike me right, if I had 3k USD stolen from me, I'd be in a little worse of a mood about it.

He probably got reimbursed by his bank or credit card and this was just some personal revenge... I know I've had people buy something online with my CC and I contacted the bank. etc. and they refunded me everything

I'd say hes either really smart or its honest. It kinda seemed a little fake but he gave info on multiple accounts for wow. If it was me and I was trying to mess with someone I would just give info on the characters they used most often.

He also didn't seem to know that you can't really kill someone on ffxi that easily. (Maybe video is pre mpk patch?)

This person had never done anything to any of them and they were good friends till it happened. Years of hard work gone just because someone decided to be a dick.

The money was refunded, if you look at the invoice he puts up the camera the status is "Refunded" on 4/8/07.
