RMT telling people to Download programs?

I'm not sure if it belongs here but its a decent sized issue. I've gotten about 3-4 tells today on FFXI from random names saying to go to a URL that seemed like it lead to DLing a program. It's rumored to be account stealing program, rumored because thus far no one has been stupid enough to DL so not sure exactly what it does because im not a hacker. Also many people I've talked to had weird people send them /tells to dl it so i'm not alone on it. How's it on other servers? Anyone else having this issue?

edit: program name was like mrrabbitwildrader or something
On sylph account names are: Johnson and Biggeesus. Thus far anyway

Funny thing is people actually will download it thinking its some hack of all hacks then end up having their password and account info changed

someone told me theres a clean version somewhere of this program and what it supposedly does is tell you a list of mobs in the area even ones not popped and shows them at 0% hp. I believe this is called a Packet sniffer if im not mistaken? Or this guy is messing with me and i'm a complete jackass for believing him ;3

MrWildRabbit (also called Rabbit Radar, and ive also seen MrAzuma) is a radar program. It allows you to see both pc's and npc's in a certain range.

More or less everyone in my LS got the same tell from Johnson that the OP got tonight. It seems he did /sea all and just went alphabetically. Someone in my LS that knows more about computers than I do figured out that it's (surprise surprise) a keylogger. Anyone dumb enough to download a file that some random person told them to via /tell probably has it coming.

If its just a keylogger, most people should be safe because you shouldnt be typing in your password each time you log in. If this hax0r was really good he would get the password from your system without you even having to type it.

Having your PW saved is the "safest" way since keyloggers are the most common way to get l/p information.

... but knowing the gms, they'd probably ban your ls, ignoring everything you say and thinking that you're actually interested in the programs
