It's fantastic that she bought the staff right afterwards, however, the point is there have been people who do gimp themselves and it's counterproductive. That was the only point, it's ironic to improve qualities in one area while hurting yourself in others, espescially when x item costs a little amount and y item costs HUNDRED OF MOTHERFUCKING MILLIONS OF GIL. Your problem is you seem completely unable to separate the concept from the reality. Is it necessary to make trade-offs while privately funding a relic? Yes. That doesn't make what the original point was any less true.

And from what I recall, 10,000 or so of your currency came from sponsoring Dynamis runs, not purchasing each piece of currency. I can't get into specifics, but I've probably spent as much on my relic as you did on yours if thats the case.

Really? I've never disagreed with the necessity of sacrifice in order to actually fund a relic, just that its pretty funny (sometimes sad) to see the
trade-offs people are willing to make. You're disqualifying my opinion on the basis that I didn't fund my own relic, not on the grounds that people do actually make some ridiculous trade-offs that don't make sense in order to pay for relic. So you're not attacking what I said, just that it was me who said it.
