    Problem installing XP

i went to install Win XP on my comp just now and iam getting an error saying i need to check my F drive and a bunch of other criptic explantions for the error

says somthing to the effect of plaese remove any newly installed hard drives witch i tried and still got the error(drive i removed was a second hard drive i installed a month ago)

sed to check system for viruses i just did a full system scan and theres none

last thing it sed was to do a disk check on drive F but drive F isent even a drive its part of my 16 in 1 thing that came with the comp for mem cards and shit seems that this would be my problem maybe?

i also tried using diff win XP disks becuase it happens while its first loading from the disk but got same error with all 3 disks so dout theres a problem with all 3 in the same exact spot on each disk

has anyone eles had this problem if so how did u solve it?

and if it turns out my 16 in 1 thing is the problem how do i remove it so i can install windows?

You should always copy the complete error message, it will usually help people to find the problem.

I've no clue what your problem is, never had anything like that, but are you certain your hardrive are correctly installed. The first one is set to master, 2nd is set to slave. Are they also set correctly in the bios menu

Like I said, are you sure they are set correctly in the Bios in your booting order sequence. I dont see what could cause that problem other than a problem with hardware installation or the bios.

Might try unplugging the card reader for the time being, Windows can be stupid about stuff like that. Should just be attached with an internal USB cable or something.

heres a pic of the error kinda cut off some of it

shut down to "prevent damage" to your computer

    error screen "please" restart

    "installed"

thows 3 lines that where cut off and in tech info the end of the number i think was 0x00000000)

Did you mess with your motherboard recently?

Just did a search for that message at support.microsoft.com (first place you should go if you get an error message on microsoft systems!) And got this:

    http://tinyurl.com/2kqsxg

If that doesn't solve the issue, theres a step-by-step you can go through here to check it out:

    http://tinyurl.com/9e58v

Otherwise, try doing searches on the knowledge base there, see if you get any appropriate results.
