imagine every 12 days a chance to see nothing drop. As for now it seems abjuration drops are not common at all in einherjar, at least on the 1. wing.Originally Posted by Enygma55

1. Key Items
Upon clearing a chamber, all players will receive a key item that signifies they assited in the clearing of the area. There is one for each room, and all nine will be required for entry into the final chamber, Valgrind.
*The key items will vanish at the moment of entry into Valgrind.
*Players who clear the 10th chamber will be awarded a pass that allows them entry to any of the other nine chambers without having to clear each wing in succession.

edit: damnit you posted when i did :/ It didn't even tell me someone else posted!
you're gonna have to clear all 9 rooms again.. which is about 5 weeks of farming.. , the special key item at the end just lets you do them in any order you wantOriginally Posted by SE
still not bad considering you'll have a chance at 10+ abjurations while you make your way to the top
EDIT: WTF 2 people posted the same thing before me.. and ya it didnt say that someone made a post while i was writing mine ><
Its gonna be brutal to lose all progress in Valgrind over and over if the difficulty scales up for each wing.
I'd wager it does considering the offer to enter any chamber you want by beating Valgrind.
Wow 9 pages, and 70% are the same questions lol.
I'm surprised nobody has noticed the pattern with the mobs here... or even bothered writing down findings. We have enough data to theorize something.
Pink bird = Drops chest (Random)
Brown bird = Gives message but no chest (Random)
Tiger = Gives no message and no chest
What does that mean? Come on.. It is safe to assume that each one does something in specific to the arena.
- The pink bird obviously gives you items to do the battle easier, i doubt it has any effect in the difficulty of the arena.
- The brown bird does something to the mobs around, or the mobs of certain kind (weaker spells? weaker def? weaker tp moves?)
- The tiger gives no message or chest but most likely does something to the boss (lowers regen? less TP moves? weaker to magic? weaker to melee attacks? weaker to a certain kind of weapon?)
- We ALSO KNOW for a fact that every room has random mobs. We also know that the number of people in your alliance/party doesn't affect the number of mobs, it's just random. Because you had 6 ghosts in your alliance of 12 was merely coincidence. Other people with less than 12 have gotten more mobs than alliances with 36. So it's not proportional.
- What makes things random? numbers (from a developer point of view). Nobody has recorded that they went in at 12:45 vana'diel time on earth day and had these kind of mobs in X chamber. Who knows, maybe this affects the type of mobs. I'm brainstorming here. Maybe the 12:45 vana'diel time is broken down like this, MAYBE:
1 = the boss type
2 = the bonus mob (tiger, pink bird, brown bird, sheep?)
4 = the type of the 1st set of mobs
5 = the type of the 2nd set of mobs
Ever wondered why sometimes you get 1 set of mobs but no 2nd set of mobs? maybe it's because the time had a 0 in it like (17:20). I don't know, i'm just talking shit here, but hey, it could happen.
Of course I could be completely utterly wrong here too, but hey, it's a thought. This of course would be proven wrong when it's 00:00. So i fail there...
I doubt SE made this so random no way to determine what to expect yet you have to have your alliance armed and ready for all possibilities.
The next time i go, i'll make sure to write down what time and day the glass was broken and the time the first person entered (just in case it's not the time the glass was broken).
Comments??
Ideas??
What can we add?
Any discussion about time / day of week / moon phase, please stop now.Originally Posted by Beltran
actually.. Looks like someone did read everyting:Originally Posted by Beltran

Edit: Rossweisse's Chamber btw
Did Grimgerde's Chamber last night and we had 6-8 (I didn't get a chance to get exact count) Nickur/Doomed which we cleared out fast enough. We killed the bird next which gave us the "calming" message then we proceded to take on the Morbol Emperor. He gave us a hard time and his sleep was a pain, but we kept mages way out of range when they were resting to come back in and wake up people.
Finished it off with about 10 minutes to spare and got a Hadean Abjuration: Hands off of it.
Edit: Went in with 26 ppl, balanced with wars and blms.
Which color bird? Brown or Pink? I'm going to take a wild guess and say Brown. (Hint: Not really a "wild guess")Originally Posted by Dumbask
I seriously doubt that SE could possible make some of you fuckers happy, you piss and whine and moan about king drops and how they should give us new ways to get them. Then when they do you bitch cause they made it hard... Did you really want them to be like oh go kill bubbling bernie and here's your Ebody... If they did that you would be the same assholes complaining that they made it too easy... If you dont like it. dont do it, go camp kings against the shells that are botting all the claims. Or get a bot and go join that LS. But please for the love of god just stfu and enjoy the damn game
I guess it was only a matter of time before this got derailed
Certain aspect of Einherjar need to be fixed, like it or not. Problem doesnt lie in the drop rate atm, but how the area currently work. If we don't like it, we will complain until they ix it, like we did with Salvages and Nyzul.Originally Posted by Munkey
Stfu and enjoy the game? I don't enjoy having to gather 30 people anymore for an event that last 26min, when the ls doesnt even have that many. It was funny to watch everything link first time, but it's already losing its novelty factor, especially after seeing bigger pull in dynamis for years. Light sleepga spell required make the area virtually harder by requiring certain specific job to come
Every single thing in the game requires certain specific jobs to come.Originally Posted by Kaylia
not like there's only one job with light based sleepga, so at least there's a little redundancy, right?Originally Posted by divisortheory
..yeah.
virtually harder because it requires specifically bard not rdm|blm or a tank with shadows, or B+ H2H, etc.
Einherjar in particular requires at least these certain specific jobs to come, due to its random nature: BRD, RDM, WHM, BLM, PLD, NIN, WAR.Originally Posted by divisortheory
There's a difference between "hard" and "stupidly broken compared to similar mobs". The mobs are random, you could just as easily end up with the easily-killable buffalo or manticore, the annoying-but-killable Orobon or Malboro or Wivre, or the nearly-impossible Marid. The difficulty isn't even close to continuous, and the rewards are just as random as the fights. My LS got the Marid on our most recent run, and it was a pretty frustrating fight. We're pretty sure that we can kill it next time thanks to what we learned this run, but it's an order of magnitude harder than the other bosses, and that's kinda dumb considering that all of them can drop the same random crap.Originally Posted by Munkey

one thing that i dont know if it's been attempted Kill the boss first and see if the bird pops. No where does it say you have to kill the boss last. I'd like to see what happens if kill the bird/tiger before you make the mass pull to see if it "calmed" them to thepoint of not linking. usually when we go in there is room to move around them to get to the far side. We're planning on trying it next time.
