Our bird was pink and dropped crate. Defintely not 100% chance off same color either it looks like.

Had a single bat as the random mob in our run, forgot the name of chamber (1st in list) other mobs was doomed x6 ghost x12-15 and manticore boss. Went in with 26 people.
Our group had the same problem with Siegrune's chamber last night with 18 people. We got a full set of dark elementals (15-20 in all) with Manticore boss. As we only had 3 bards in the group, the elementals raped us badly.Originally Posted by dbdesigns
One thing I did notice during the run, while recovering from the first wipe (bout 6-8 minutes into the run), the tiger popped. He was up for about 2-3 minutes running about. We proceeded to engage once we had enough people unweakened, then with the tiger at bout 75% it depopped with the following message

No noticable change in mob behavior after we unweakened and engaged the elementals a 2nd time.
BRD lullabies seems like the thing to do for Einherjar, seeing that most of the mobs are of the undead class.
We did Siegrune's Chamber yesterday and we had Dog and Doom Toad enemies. Both were extremely easy to sleep with lullaby. We subbed NIN to take less damage and it was working pretty well (except when were paralyzed by Howl).
However, when we were doing the BLM Rotting Huskarls, lullaby was a lot more difficult to land. Many of them resisted and it didn't even seem to last 30 seconds.
We did Rossweisse on update-day and got 6+ Bugard-X, 20+ Skeleton mobs, and a Wivre boss.
While killing the Bugard-Xs, I noticed the pink bird fly through, one of our PLDs flashed and kept hate on it. And we proceeded to kill it next. It dropped a blue crate with multiple items for the alliance. There was no message that popped to my recollection.
We were the second linkshell on alexander to win. We went with 19, no more than 20 with one bard. We had 7 or 8 Jnun type mobs and the manticore boss with the random mob being the red bird named Hueggin If I remember correctly. I slept the bird and it vanished before we could engage it. When we fought the manticore it had around 400k HP and randomly switched its targets to mages or people with the least hate.
Going to be trying one more tonite that I can update on.
Edit: Chamber was Rossweiss.
Does anyone know if:
Chigoes (normal name, normal color?) = Regular possible enemy?
Djigga (blue color?) = Only spawned from the marid boss?
I would like to have this settled on wiki.
It could easily just keep popping more mobs as people enter, until such time that you pull the first mob. All people are locked out from entering at that point.Originally Posted by mackerel

If everything I've been reading is true, no way this is scaled in terms of number of mobs, just seems to be down right luck. Groups of 30-36 have gotten 7 doomed + boss, while groups of 12-18 have gotten 25-35 combined amounts of skeletons/ghosts/worms/bats/etc.
Defense/hp could be scaled, but I highly doubt it.
Did Ross's chamber yesterday:
Got around 6-8 undead toads, and about the same number of bats, marid boss. Killed the bird that popped midway through the toads. Engaged the boss at about 5minutes left, and ran out of time; he was spamming the move that healed him for several thousand HP. Didn't see any chigoes.
I agree from my experience with the Morbol and Manticore bosses. Someone should parse each mob to get a better estimate but I would say around 150,000 HP; the Marbol may have had more.400K HP is next to impossible
Naw we didnt parse it but we're almost sure it was that much. We finished the Toads with over 20minutes left. We had 4 warriors, 2 with ridills, 2 BLM, 2 SMN, and 2 THFs I think and a drk. Anyway the reason we assumed it was that much was because the constant rampage spam was around 300~ 400 Dmg and its HP would not move at all.400K HP is next to impossible to take out in 30min as it would be over 10k damage a minute. seeing as you killed stuff before hand you prolly had like 15-20 min to kill a 400k hp mob with 20 min left. if you had 20 min left after killing the jnuns youd have to do like 20k damage a min. maybe im mistaken or maybe you just added an extra zero, but grats either way.
I think our key to winning was infact the amount of warriors we had simply because the shifting targets randomly onto mages was very awkward and ended up stifling the blm dmg considerably. The next time we do it I will make sure to get a parse of the boss though.
Edit: I did mention that the random mob, the bird vanished on us. People who have killed the bird with the manticore boss said that its HP was lowered considerably down to around 150k~. So you may want to take that into account.
I believe I heard claims of killing the bird made the Manticore boss didn't have a Regan... but could of been large amount of HP.
Let's start collecting some data.
I'd like to see:
-If certain sets of monsters/bosses only pop in certain Chambers(out of the three).
-If it's possible to assign the number/type of monsters/boss to another factor, like game day or something.
-The special monster's effect on boss. (So far, we have testimony that bird does something to the Manticore's HP... I think I've heard claims of the Buffalo not using his HP recovery TP move).
-The normal monster's effect on boss. (If there is one)
-The boss's effect on normal monsters.
-If certain drops drop in certain chambers.
I'd be nice if there was someway to make Einherjar a little more acceptable than a group with 6 BRDs constantly spamming lullaby.
I severely doubt killing the Bird or anything lowers the Boss's HP by like 300k. The guy who is guessing it had 400k HP is just way off. 4 Ridill WARs doing 3-400 Rampages isn't as much damage as he thinks. Especially since he said people hit for 0s and shit too. The Megas do have a good amount of HP but not 400k. Our Wivre took like 8m to basically just zerg kill and it has that crazy Wivre Attack Down move. It had a ton of HP but not 400k worth. It seemed to have zero regen btw and I saw no Special Move, we killed the random Bird and all other mobs.
The two best theories I have heard are killing the groups of mobs or random mob kills the Regen or a Special TP move.
Also, I have heard of each Mega and a few types of mobs being in different chambers, so it looks to be random.
and the Marid has the HP recovery move I believe.
Well we're entering in a little over an hour I'll get a parse of the bosses HP then.
We tried Grimgerde's Chamber today as our first run. We had 24 people. Got bats and manticore boss. Bats resisted sleepga from blms often, but lullaby worked well. The tiger popped in the middle of fighting the bats, and we wiped with about 8 of them left (didn't think to see how many were there at the start). After we recovered, the tiger depopped or something. We finished off the bats with little problem and started on the manticore. He has a lot of hp. In roughly 5 minutes we only got him to 60ish% (All DDs with a good 2hr used them, including 2 mnks, brds also 2hred) before we timed out. His hate seemed really random, he would just go around, beating on whoever.
Not sure if anyones said this but the random mobs seem to be weaker and all seem like charmable type. Has anyone tried charming one?

9 people, 12 ghost. Probably as many skelettons. Saw tiger walk on our body after wiped (killed 3, then thundaga slipped and wiped us)
