On Kujata, the first sale after the patch was somebody to his own mule for 800k (previous was 200k). He sold 10 or so more at 800-900k, and last I looked there were 12 up with last sale at 80k.
It almost seems as if somebody was tipped off that light ores were going to be required for that, although I suppose it's plausible that he just *happened* to have a dozen of em layin around on patch day.
lawl, where have you been? every damn server had ores from 200k~ to 1mil~ long before full moon hit. every jp on the game apparently was 'tipped off'.Originally Posted by Coren

By growing light ores in the week before the update? The guy probably just ended his gardening rotation and got lucky.Originally Posted by Seraphise
As I haven't gone to do this yet, I assume the questgiver said something about the Light Ore? We had a group of people on Odin who bumrushed Divine Might and no one could get anything cuz they just went in the usual way, without any Light Ore usage... was a bit of a giggle, esp since most of them were friends and acquaintances. ;D

The quest giver said nothing about light ore in the NA version, and that's the problem. We were told something about some stone with luminance and some mystery ingot or some bullshit.Originally Posted by Ashira
I'm lucky though. Bismarck's been holding steady at 150k for light ores, with the exception of three sales 1.5M - 2M. Problem is, gotta watch the AH for them like a hawk. Can only imagine what the price will be on them once the market becomes flooded. Bargain basement, more than likely.
lightore is starting to tumble faster than i expected it to on carbuncle, its dropped from 1m to 490k overnight with 12 of them on the AH <3
Midgard's is falling rapidly, fell from a mill to 300k, went to 500k n stoppedOriginally Posted by Lordender
29 ores on AH on Quetz lol. Peaked just briefly at 1.5 Mil and just a handlful of sales at 1mil, people here have been fairly resistant though to pay out the ass for this, which is good.
By buying them all from the Auction House and selling them at a vast markup...Originally Posted by RuBP
I doubt theres going to be any market flooding. Prices will come down after the initial rush, but its still going to be 500-600k for the ore.

Of course this all hits just as I hit the 50s on my bard...
Ores were 130k on Carbuncle pre-update, I was going to have an Apollo's crafted. Someone in my linkshell gardens all the time, I'm making him grow light ore and selling to me at the pre-update price 8)
i did it, the NA version of the quest was very cryptic and misleading, it mentions something about having to re-kill the warriors so we did the DM fight allready /wrist.Originally Posted by Ashira
anyways then it says that we need an ingot at one point, then a "stone of luminesence", all the while the jp text just told them to bring light ore and wait at the fountain.
so yeah jp's got a big advantage on this one... a advantage that they used to fuck over dumb NA's

I could be horribly wrong but isn't the total # of NAs playing greater than JP? If thats the case, you don't really want to piss off half your money train.
