Now that we confirmed the warp trick, heres something to consider...
If the disk holder is fast enough, would it be possible to grab another assault order, and enter another nyzul after the kill (and while treasure is still in the pool) with 2 other people, then rejoin the other party to be able to lot on hats/weapons? If that would work, it might be worth burning an extra tag so the disk holder doesnt get the shaft and floor 100 can still be farmed.
99% sure this wont work, cause the zone is instanced. Just like 2 groups in the same Salvage remnants, one cant lot on what the other gets.Originally Posted by Funkworkz
Would love if the logging out thing worked. My group is finally gonna tackle floor 100 after farming the hell out of the other floors (Askar body gets dropped and relotted while trying to get Denali body.. lol).Originally Posted by solsovly
Apologies that this has nothing to do with floor 100, but I thought I'd mention that Nyzul is now absurd.
Two runs to 20 for farming. First run, lamp, dahak/manticores/other-things all floor, lamps with imps and flayers, kill all, timed out.
Second run, I don't know but we got to floor 20 with 15 minutes left and were greeted with this:

The best possible buff on the easiest possible boss. Monarch's Drink DID stack with it, for an absurd amount of tp regen. Went down really, really fast.
Spoiler: Next update Glory Crown is obtained from completing the ToAU storyline. With it on, the weapon gains Acc+10, Range Acc+10, Eva+10, Haste+5% and a special trait like a RDM gaining access to Vorpal Blade. Shits will be bricked and all of FFXI will be happy.
The haste effect on a boss is the best. Dual haste!Originally Posted by Imitarate
Quick question to everyone who has done Nyzul 100:
Does floor100 clear everyone's data of the floor? (Like will the NPC still say 95 or w/e for highest floor for the non-disc holders?)
I was thinking of getting a 2nd person to floor 100 so we can take turns warping but.. would suck if his disk got deleted when I warped, or the other way around <.<
We've never had two people as high as 95 at the same time, but we've had some people lvl 30sh while the other person is 95 and when the 95 person cleared 100 and got reset it didn't affect the 30ish person at all, if that answers your question.Originally Posted by Julian
From today's patch notes:
This will be a very welcome change. New plan = farm 95-100 repeatedly until everyone has the headgear/weapon they want (besides the disc holder), and then clear the disc, start over, and get everyone their armor from the lower levels?Assault Mission "Nyzul Isle Investigation"
Currently, the data for the highest floor you have investigated in Nyzul Isle will be deleted after defeating the monsters on Floor 100. Unlike with other floors, this removes the possibility of retrying the floor in an attempt to obtain the treasure you seek.
As of the next version update, the data will still be deleted after clearing Floor 100, but in exchange for the loss of data, the chance for obtaining the armor pieces will be increased to 100%.
While clearing to Floor 100 is no easy task, we are sure there are heroes out there that are up to the challenge!
I wonder if the 100% drop rule will apply if the Runic Key/Disc holder warps out?
Hmm wait a second... does this mean that the head piece will now be a 100% drop, or that when you get a Runic Key and start a new disc, all armor pieces will be 100% drops in your second run up?
Damn SE and their ambiguously-worded update details.
It almost sounds like the head piece will appear after you clear.. not just beat the boss?
I don't see how it's ambiguous. It's pretty clear to me. Basically they said we can't attempt 100F as many times as we like because of deleted data, so now they'll give us a head drop 100% for our trouble. Sound pretty clear cut to me.
no changes in the system , basically the hats will be 100% drop rate since "supposedly" you can only attempt 1 floor100 clear and have to redo all 95 again to attempt it again but this will make the warp method much better.
i'm the disc holder for my set . just gonna spam 100 as much as possible to get everyone as much possible weapons and hats before SE fixes this then farm lower floors again.
not gonna try the logout method myself because i still need the disc to farm lower floors since we just rushed up and didn't farm floors exept 20, we needed one askar to drop only since i'm the only person in set with 0 drop <_< 20 attempt on floor20 so far , 1 askar 7 denali 5 goliard . starting to let guests come leech denali . kinda sucks after not getting anything i'll end up getting nothing from floor100 too but i just hope the logout thingy works out.
thanks to the people who actually sacrificed their disc to try the warp method<3
As suspected, the logging out trick wasn't very successful. Our discholder disconnected when the boss was at about 5%, and after we killed it and he logged back in, he received the key item and messages about disc being cleared. So I believe it's safe to say that you have to be in a different area (possibly region) in order to preserve your disc.
I don't know wheter I should /comfort your group or be happy cause we now know what we need to leave this freakin place finally >.>
is there a new key item? or is it the same old runic key?
Unless I'm blind there are no Nyzul-related key items in the .dat files except runic disc and runic key.
Can you clarify on SE's wording on 100% head pieces?Originally Posted by Underverk
Did every single piece of head gear drop? Or just guaranteed to get at least one piece? They make it sound like one of each will drop which sounds too good to be true.
Need to wait until next version update for the guaranteed headpieces.Originally Posted by solsovly
