My Vana'diel time isn't just 10 minutes fast in event messages, it's completely incomprehensible. For example, my next Imperial Army I.D. tag will be ready at 55:123 Vana'diel time lol
My last 2 PC's and my current laptop all were ATI, and all have spell lock. It's not an ATI or Nvidia thing, it's a poorly programmed FFXI thing. It prioritizes finishing the animation before queing anything else over it (like.. MOVING)Anyway, your ATI cards have the bug. That's good info -- you should post more details to help narrow things down.
That ATI "bug" exist on every Nvidia card ive used...
Thats just FFXI adding movement locks I believe.

Happens on PS2 and Xbox as well.
anyone knows when they re gonna correct this ?
Probably will lump it in with the next update which will probably be within the next week or two. They need to add some more things still, so they'll probably correct all known issues at the time of that maintainence.
Or as soon as you drop your apoc.

Did this retard just say that Spell Lock is a bug, only found on certain VIDEO CARDS ?!?
Forgive me, but
wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
needs less serious hardware business and more fixing fucking <t>!
i'd still take understood <t> over not using caps for manually typing spells... still need to use shift for the " button D:
NVIDIA sucks, did you see their GeforceFX 5800? lol, dustbuster
I like the fact that I know nothing - NOTHING about computers and graphic cards and whatnot - and I still LOL'd @ "spell lock = result of certain graphics cards."
But yeah, I like not having to capialize everything. That could be just because my Shift Key is sticky though. Maybe they could fix <t>, but still leave the ability to type lowercase? <.<;
What was the behavior before glitch vs after?- Amount of damage inflicted by the weapon skill "Catastrophe" has decreased, and does not drain target's HP.
After patch, well, Slice is better than Catastrophe.Originally Posted by Hanyoko
