Halo2/3

I'm going to be honest and say that I was really never a console gamer. I stopped caring about them shortly after ps1, I've however owned a PS2, Xbox and have a 360 now.

I just finished beating Halo 2 (I waited for the PC version, but had Halo 2 for xbox since release lol) The cliff hanger ending sucked but Halo 3 is right around the corner and I guess I have to "force" myself to play the 360 version, or wait a billion years for microsoft to release it on the PC.

With that said, After beating Halo 2, I went to see the trailer for Halo 3 and noticed the covenent are now siding with the Master chief? It makes sense because the brutes are blind sided and refuse to believe halo is a WOMD.


So, uh, yeah. Am I on the right track?

Yeah, you're on the right track. You wont be fighing any Elites in Halo 3. Bungie is adding new types of Brutes to Halo 3 to replace them.

But i want a 360 so bad xD Halo 3 looks awesome

I thought it was just that the Elites had left the Covenant after being persecuted by the Brutes and the rest after the Aribiter's failing to stop "the Demon" (the Master Chief) in the first game, when the Elite who became the Arbiter was apparently in command on the first Halo unit, 04.

I haven't read any of the novels or anything, this is just what I picked up from the game cinematics of Halo 1 & 2.

Stilgar is right. The only race that arent part of the covenant are the Elites. Theres a download on Xbox Live under Halo3 called "et tu brue" that shows all 2 or 3 new types of Brutes that you will fight in place of the elites.

Agreed, after a certain point I was more interested in that part than any other and it became my favorite part of the game (story wise)

Yes, the way it started out was a bit on the plain side but it got really really catchy.
