In total, it lost 8% health whilst the Mages recovered MP.

Bad luck on spawns, not any wrong moves.

If MP is a problem, did you try Phalanx II'ing everyone? It virtually eliminates the damage everyone takes, especially with a 3-merit Phalanx. Phalanx II on everyone generally means that the mages are meleeing out of boredom, because when people are getting hit by lolbees, it's for 0 or single digits. The occasional regen is all you need, really.

WAR/NIN with Ridill... not sure on his other axe.

    WAR/NIN with Maneater/Jug.

    MNK/NIN with Destroyers.

    Lv.65 BRD.

Would it be best to get all four of them revitalizers, or would three zerging melees be too much TP spam on LBC?

3 melee where one is ridill is too much TP in; have him ditch the ridill, or ditch a melee completely.

Could have one melee go in at a time for their 2 hours...

In other words, MNK goes in and hundred fists first, he can survive between counter, and a debuffed chariot I am sure..not to mention less heals!

Then send in the WAR/NIN next etc. If the WAR/NIN had TP and voked warcry mighty strikes rampage, wouldnt be long before he peels hate off the monk and then the monk can back off and back to one melee in cure range..rinse repeat..
Its worked for us before and it should save on cures...and songs without troubadour last longer than three two hours combined....if the bard has troubadour then, don't even bother with a revitilizer...then again if a 65 BRD has troubadour thats pretty haxy!

When we put our ridill war on the boss, we usually have him swap his offhand to jug.

In areas where I happen to have more than 2 decently geared melee, I have my 2 initial tanks go in and open w/ 2hr's off the bat (feinted of course), have my other melee go in occasionally when everything is under control. After 6 min, I usually have my other mnk go in w/ 2hr (generally I have 2 designated tanks, and a 3rd mnk).

If you're looking to zerg LBC I'm assuming you've nerfed Homing Missile.

If that's the case, those 3 melees will be fine zerging it down, but make sure the 2-axe WAR has enough healing since he's a third wheel. Keep the Ridill on. We had a 6 minute kill on LBC by zerging it down with MNK/NIN, Ridill WAR and 2 BLMs. MP was a problem near the end so keep that in mind. Nerfed LBC is so easy.

TP spammed like nobodies business during both my 2HRs, and it was at 40some percent when they were over. He continued to spam because of low HP but we managed.

Obviously if you're not nerfing HM than it's a very different story.

What kind of success have people been having with killing enough gears to nerf LBC?

Do you SC the gears to ensure a fast death or take your chances with melee heavy and hope for not a bunch of restoral leading up to a warp?

Simply bring more than you "need" to kill it. That way you cover any Restorals that might happen. MNK, Ridill WAR, and 2 INT-unlocked BLMs was sufficient for us. I just had them rest near full before each pull and nuke all out at 80% (so they didn't get hate I gave the WAR about 10sec to solidify it).

We had a little bit of trouble killing the gears tonight before our run at LBC, had 3 MNK+THF and NIN for DD, 0 BLM tonight though sadly lol. Both warped around 30-50% and then we just went up to LBC, (ran out of time at 13% due to a few homing missiles and had to wait for hate ), roughly how much percent damage will a Blizzard IV do on them? Our group is still in the learning stages of salvage because we are relatively new, trying to decide best jobs for everyone to be in etc. Is there a set timer on the warp or can it be random? Seemed to be like 30seconds ish from the time they were pulled.

I believe the determined time was either 45 seconds or 60 seconds, I never counted, and nor do I want to test it.

My group usually does salvage with 6, what would be a good setup to do gears + boss in the same run? From what I've read it's either 1 NM + Boss, gears to weaken boss + boss, or just NMs. I know the boss can be done with 6, but we wanna weaken him to make sure we win. I'm thinking mnkx2, rdm, whm, blm, brd. It seems perfect for the boss, but probably not enough to take care of the gears in time, right? Would an additonal blm do?

We took 55 seconds to kill one once, but we did kill it. So my money is on 60.

I'm not convinced that it is just bad luck but I don't have a good theory what the key to getting NMs is.

We've been doing Ramparts for a few months now, and we had a string of 13 runs on the bee rampart without an NM. Last run we had 5 NMs pop there. All in all we're about 40% for getting any NM to pop (ie 60% of ramparts pop 0 NMs), but when a rampart does pop an NM, it pops multiples to the point where our average is nearly 4NMs when we get at least one (in fact we've never had just one NM we've always had 0 or multiples). This also seems to mirror the experiences of everyone who's posted here.

If it was simply a matter of every pop being an equal chance of being the NM, with so many ramparts popping 0 NMs, the next most common outcome should be 1NM only, with the probability decreasing for each number after that to the point where 3 or more NM pops would be very very rare. That isn't the case, and it points to some condition which causes a rampart to pop NMs over a rampart that just pops the basic mobs.

To me, it points to a system that works like this:

    - When you enter Bhaflau Remnants, 4 random numbers, W, X, Y, and Z are generated between 1 and 10. Lower numbers are weighted more heavily that higher numbers
    - W is the pop rate for Gate Window, X is the pop rate for Skirmish, Y is the pop rate for Zebra, and Z is the pop rate for Peryton.

If what you say is true where there's some condition that causes them to pop more NMs, then by analogy the same is true of Dynamis.

Well, haven't we concluded that their drop rate is higher than Arrapago's and Silver Sea's (I'd guess Zhayolm, too, but I don't wanna make an ass out of you and me)? If so, then see their pop rate more as their drop rate than their actual drop rates. That's what I'm gonna live by until further tests/proof.

Their drop rate seems quite high. Everyone I've known who has seen more than 5 or so pops of anything always has something to show for it.

We're 6/~25 in the zone including 4/9 on the bees (in ~17 Bee Rampart attempts, we've seen bees only twice, a 4pop and a 5pop) which isn't a large sample to be sure. Pretty much everyone is reporting similar drops though, which seems to be significantly different from the ~10% in Arrapago. Overall though the L35s per run (as opposed to per NM) have been about the same for us in the 2 zones, simply because of the number of Rampart runs we've done without seeing an NM at all...

(oh, and I don't get the Dynamis analogy... what there doesn't seem to have a "normal" distribution of pops or drops?)
