God. I hate Mad Bomber's Rampart. We've gotten dick from Gate Widow. Our only drop ever was a single Macha's Cuffs that we got on I think our third Salvage run ever when everyone was still dicking around to find stuff. Tonight was just an endless stream of chigoes with Mad Bomber finally up on the west side after 3 runs of us being unlucky.

Meanwhile, the Flan Rampart shits out Skirmish Bees like it's got the runs. We got 4 Skirmishes again tonight (same as last farming run) and got the same drops again: 1 Skadi Mask and 1 Usukane Feet. Another LS that does Salvage on Titan clams they got like 3 Usukane Feet and a Skadi Mask from their last Flan Rampart, but I dunno if that's bullshit or what.

It's funny cuz our last 2 Long-Armed Chariots both dropped Bodb's Cuffs which we can't use. -_-

It's been a while for us... it's basically just 50/50 luck, right? Not day dependent or anything?

its a good run already

to be honest, able to see any Rampart NM is considered a good run

drops wise is just luck

got 1/5 widow drop 1 mori cuffs today 0/100 bee(again yay)

anyway usukane feet and morri cuffs r the more common drops from their respective NM

murduk pants and skadi mask r the rarer ones

but yea the 50/50 WE thing suck, but hey widow pops more often than bees

Well, I'm not saying that I wish we didn't get what we got. I know that getting 2 35s off of one run is good considering Salvage drop rates. If you're still scratching your head about why this guy is complaining about getting more Usu Feet and Skadi Mask, look at my jobs in my sig. Here's a hint: This is how often I use my jobs - RDM > BRD > BLM >>>>>>>>>>> MNK >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> RNG.

I'm mainly just frustrated that we went 3 runs in a row without seeing Mad Bomber and when he's finally up we get no Widows. I really do think that's there's a pattern or some kind of predetermined factor on if a rampart spawns 35 dropping NMs or not because it doesn't really seem random.

I'm starting to think that Mad Bomber is not "either up on the east or the west" and you just have to pick the right one, but rather that it's just random when you zone in. If it were either on the east or the west, it should be 50%. It seems more like 20% in my experience from always going west. Does anyone always go east? If so, what's your Mad Bomber rate going east?

It's been about 40-45% for us as far as I can remember. Maybe closer to 50%. Our last 4 LBCs I'm pretty sure it was up twice and down twice.

as for going east

its not a bad idea anymore because u can get early stats cells and just skip 2F scorpions altogether

save some time if u get lucky on cells u need, but not recommended on large pt though

6-7 man should work better

My (small) group has been spamming this area in an attempt to get Lv35 Usukane feet from the omgBeez, but we've had no luck so far ... we never even see bee NM's let alone actually get the drop. An unexpected side effect of spamming this run was seeing Mad Bomber up and getting Lv35 Marduk pants and two pairs of Lv35 Morrigan hands from it. Pleasant surprise that was, no doubt. ^_^

My group is definitely having trouble with LBC though. We haven't fought him for some time, and we've since fought and beaten Long-Armed Chariot once, so I know we have the basics down. When we go for LBC, we usually bring a couple more people, say, 8-10. Usually we have a MNK/NIN or two tanking and a WAR/NIN meleeing. Other than that, we just have the front line's support (BRD, RDM and WHM), myself on BLM, and possibly a RNG and some other support. It's not LBC's TP moves that are getting us, it's his massive "melee" damage. He just seems to double-attack and triple-attack too much for us to handle.

Anyone have any recommendations on what we could do to have a better shot at this? Our MNK/NIN's are not fully meritted, but they've handled LAC before, like I said. The WAR can also come as PLD/NIN (he's pretty decked out), and one of the MNK's could come THF/SAM or THF/anything for TA.

*edit* Nevermind, I just read through some of the other LBC topics and we pretty much follow those to a T. Without more practice, I guess we're just SOL.

Kill the L4 Chariot as well if you have time (JP in my shell swear the JP community have shown it nerfs the both the bosses movement speed (meh) and defense boost (much nicer) although this hasn't shown up on Wiki). We try to get a rampart done as well during a boss run, so we don't take the time to do the chariot...

Don't confuse "defense bonus at low HP" with "things get a little crazy and we don't get Minuet anymore because the BRD is dead/LBC is moving/lol im suposed 2 stun wut?"

I pretty much solo tanked an un-nerfed LBC MNK/NIN from 99% to 3% last night. It didn't get HM off once, until the very end when the BLMs Manafonted - which wasn't until 7 or 8% anyway.

The most reliable way to counteract HM is to have Erase being cast the instant LBC uses Inertia Stream.

Also, I merited Counter from 0 to 4 since our last LBC, and the difference is quite huge (Counterstance was up... countered maybe 75-80% of hits, reg. melee hits did 550ish, crits did 750ish... I had about 2350 HP thanks to a Body Boost). I was never in red HP, except for the Homing Missile that went off at 3%.
