Since we still need about 9 drops from LBC we've been keeping at him to get the drops we need but currently our win ratio is 50% and actually getting the drops into people's inventories is 25% (Q_Q@2x phobos cuirass hitting the floor cause lbc died at the 10 sec mark). I know it should be possible to kill it with 7, but I'm starting to wonder what we're doing wrong, if we're just pretty unlucky or if we just plain suck.
Our 7-man setup consists out of people who have the following jobs available (bolded the ones usually used for LBC);
WAR, bbMNK, WHM, BLM, RDM, PLD, NIN, SAM, RNG
adaberk/ridillWAR , bbMNK, BLM, SAM, RNG
ridillWAR, th4THF, RNG
ridillWAR, BRD, THF, NIN, PLD, BLU
BRD, dramatichapeuRDM, SMN, BLM
WHM, SAM
BLM, RDM
On our last run we ended up at LBC with roughly 30 minutes left, killed 8/10 of the gears (2 warped out cause they spammed Restoral), everyone was properly geared and most important stats unlocked per player. We didn't get lucky on chests from gears (no fanatics, body boosts etc). We start off with SV minuets and have both MNKs use HF and got LBC down to roughly 75%~. Minor issue was that hate was planted on me and co-tank couldn't get LBC off me for the life of me and after a small spammage off TP moves I had no timers left on shadows and ended up eating dirt due to multiple double attacks. This didn't happen once, but twice after I got back up and started tanking it again. Eventually I ended up being weak for 10 minutes which, well, sucked.
Getting paralyna's/erases sometimes is an issue when people are casting other spells when the TP moves go off but are usually on point. We constantly move around to the sides when LBC turns to prepare HM but eventually one slips through and the shit pretty much hits the fan and trying to stabilize hate seems impossible without something to spike hate with and the clock keeps ticking with minimal damage done to it and we end up timing out.
Is there something I'm not seeing with this setup that would make beating LBC easier? Any comments, tips or anything that we can work on to start beating LBC on a regular basis without recruiting additional people?
