The runs we get shit normally it rains. We had 6 GW one time and had a total of 2 Marduk legs and 3 morrgain hands. SP poped 4 times and got 1 feet 2 mask. Happened a week ago. Just stick to it and you'll get them.

my group is going on close to 40 runs of this zone no Skirmish sightings i cannot think of what we are doing wrong...

Our linkshell is in the same boat - We've spammed this zone now for about 2 months and including all the times we've done in the past, we have never seen Skirmish at all (and we've tried to pop him every run). We have seen a poor share of Gate Widows and one Peryton.

I hate this area. Its easy, but having Mad Bomber pop (luck), having rampart spawn widow (luck) and having it drop the item (luck), is apparently too damn much for us. Wish it was like the other zones where there was a requirement to force-pop the NM, or have at least one pop, or something. Comeon SE - We just want to SEE the NM.

Trust me, it's equally demoralizing to have 5 NMs pop and not drop anything. Twice.

You do know there is a way to get mad bomber to pop 100% of the time? It was posted in this thread earlier, and we used that method to go for a straight 7 or 8 mad bombers, allowing us to essentially cap out on morrigan hands / marduk legs.

I did mean the timing of lights over the door. It worked for us, but we had the same person do it. A few other ppl in our ls tried on green and it didn't work, but their timing just might have been off. For the 1 person it did work on, he did it consistently enough for me to believe it's a valid method. We had never before seen 8 straight mad bombers.

Maybe it's different depending on what console/pc specs a person is using, or net connection. /shrug, it worked for us after experimenting with different ppl.

Past two days we have entered @ 21:00 lightning day we dont need gate widow so we dont even look for mad bomber pop the rampart on the second floor with me a hume all the other runs we did an elvaan and a taru popped us in and no pops. We enter no one moves it is lightsday by this time Hume pld flashes it and we kill asap. This method past two days has yielded 11 Skirmish's 1 pair of boots thank god!

For my group I have yet to see mad bomber pop the last 10 bhafs. It seems gate widow likes to pop for us. However, besides that one run he like to show up 5-6 times and no drops or only 1.

My only advice is to have someone else enter. We have 2 people in our group who have the "luck" of going nearly 100% pop on mad bombers. Just have each person take a turn in entering, once you find a mad bomber, have that person do it again.

Kaeko soloed Bhaf successfully, finally, he'd tried a few times now but had some unluck on a couple tries, timing out or not getting cell drops... but anyway, yeah, good stuff. :D


EDIT: i had to fix the stupid way i wrote this, it was driving me nuts to see people quote it. Really should pay attention to the first half of my sentence when I write the second half.

Thanks for all the compliments. I'll try to get the rest written asap. It's actually an interesting story how I ended up doing it because the way I was going to damage it as written in the post turns out to not be near enough to kill it in time.

Avesta will always be in his own little catagory until an NA does stuff like this without windower though =P I couldn't win this without Distance Plugin probably.

After 8 runs of Bhaflau doing SP and ZZ Ramparts and seeing absolutely no NMs pop, we were beginning to think that we were doing something wrong...

On Thursday (9/4), to our amazement we get 6 ZZs (no SPs of course). We don't see anything drop until the final ZZ (we have TH4) ... then he gives up a mask and a gauntlet FINALLY. First time we've ever seen those drop.

I noticed that it was Lightsday while we were fighting the ZZ Rampart, but I only say that because someone mentioned waiting until Lightsday to activate the rampart.

It sucks bad enough to keep doing Ramparts and not getting any NM pop... but to finally see NMs pop and having nothing drop one after the other is pretty frustrating. The only consolation this time was that we got lucky on the last one. So yeah, 1 Deimos gauntlet down, 4 to go. Sweet.

We used to have horrendous luck on 35 drops and even seeing nm's pop. We went 4/41 originally.

Someone read or randomly suggested pulling the rampart with a spell matching the day of the week and amusingly it seemed to work, we got a 35 and saw a lot of nm pops (2 ramparts 9 nm's).

Since then we've kept doing this, sure its pretty stupid to T1 the rampart but you can gimp the nuke and do 1%. Since start this we have done 17 runs of Bhaflau, targetting at least 1 rampart and boss. We've gotten 14 35's.

As sample size goes it is tiny but we have only had 1 in active rampart in that time (inactive = 0 nm pops). We don't actually need any more 35's there now so are unlikely to continue the test. I'm not saying this is the "key" to the ramparts but it seems worth investigating, doesn't take any extra time and might even work.

After reading your post, I realized the same happened for my group on 1st floor rampart after MB. Casted elegy on the rampart during earthsday then we had Gate Widows popping. Got the cuffs after the third widow pop so we ended it there.
