In a MNK's case, +5 store TP could get you to 100% in 1 fewer attack round.. I wouldn't say it's worthless. Pile that on with all the other stuff a Rajas has.. and it's a pretty good TP ring for me (especially since I use sushi).
Capped accuracy has more benefits than just hitting more often.. you also gain TP faster, which means you WS more often. I'm really interested in seeing parses for bosses.
I made some complicated calculation to reach that conclusion. Its complicated due to the fact that asuran fist TP return is random. Unlike SAM's for example. And its TWO hits that you gotta save to make it worth it. With sushi , of course, rajas wins.
Subtle blow on bosses isn't really an issue anyway as a MNK with, say, a chi blast rotation like we use.

moon 25% descend and water day popped 6 nm and only 1 drop skadi 35^^
silentmind ragnarok server
I don't know what we're doing wrong but we've gone about 1300 rampart pops without a NM pop now. By that I mean the number of NQ mobs a rampart has summoned... not that we fought 1300 ramparts >.>
We've tried even the rumors of fighting it during the night, on earthsday for more NM pops :s
We must be doing something wrong. This can't be just bad luck. It's been literally months since we've seen a rampart NM in BR, nevermind an actual 35 drop...
Which rampart? I've found Rampart pop rate is lower on higher floor ramparts. For us, the chance for a rampart to pop at least 1 NM is:
1F: 45%
2F: 40%
3F: 21%
4F: 20%
Then again, we barely do Bhaflau ramparts anymore, so that's only out of 84 ramps total, which isn't high enough to really prove anything.
The reason I posted it was because I was hoping that someone would say "you're doing it wrong, they changed the pop conditions" or something along the lines.. guess I'm being too hopeful, but I wouldn't be surprised if SE changed something and I didn't hear about it. Like they changed the first floor frog, resulting in a pretty bad ZR run...
We usually don't do 4F. Just 1F, 2F and 3F. We devoted several runs to ramparts alone, letting them pop all 100 mobs each(or however many they are, seems like it's 1 mob each 1% of the rampart's HP) and none of them popped anything...Originally Posted by Uzor
Ok so I just tanked LBC for the first time full-time as WAR (done backup tanking before) and it honestly sucked. IMO I'm a well-geared war but I simply wasn't keeping up hate-wise with the mnk. I've duo tanked before on other bosses (full to death) and have subbed in when another member dies but it wasn't nearly as annoying as LBC.
It was only after about 1/3rd that LBC even started looking at me... TBH I wasn't voking at start cuz hate usually bounces without voke, and I like to save it for when my co-tanks shadows are down.
My hits were doing like 60-100 maybe, crits hit for 150-ish max maybe. The LS leader even theorized that LBC was blunt weak or slashing resist.Highest RR was 737-ish I think, but that was 4 hits--usually it did around 450ish I'd say. I think we might've won if we didn't eat 9/10 weakened Homing Missile but maybe not, it was painful lol.
So any suggestions? Waiting 6 months after getting skadi 35 feet for the 25 is making me emo. >.> Our other LS monk recently left. I might try blu and use breaths / normal hate spells (exuviation, blank gaze, temporal shift, actinic burst, etc) and cure up the co-tank, but not melee.
Have someone solo tank LBC if its not weakened 10/10, and you as WAR to smack in some WSs and some dot to make sure you are 2nd on enmity list, when HM goes off (and you are out of range) run in and Voke and continue to tank it and the first melee do what you did for the next HM.
You could either voke more often or if tp permits it, do steel cyclone after mnk ws to make darkness. That should add some extra damage to your side and give you some more hate
Sorry if this has been asked/answered before, but is Homing missile light based and can it get day proc? Reason i ask is because twice today during our trio lbc's, it oneshotted someone with 100% hp by using homing missile. Both times the people in question would have likely had jelly rings on, so if its magical that would account for some of the extra damage, but not the full damage
As i understand it, HM is 90% current hp, so with jelly ring adding 5% of that, it should be like 94.5% damage, so without a day proc i cant see how it could one shot us (in one case there was absolutly no gear changes between it starting hm and it landing)
it does 90% of your current HP though, not max. At least it used to, haven't got hit with unweakened homing missiles for some time.
In my case i was at 100% hp, yet still died from homing missile, like i said, i do understand its 90% current hp, which is what confused us.
Unless your mages aren't keeping up in healing the AoE dmg or your MNK sucks you are still speeding up the kill even if you're just standing there looking pretty and hitting your RR macro. In Bhaf there's no reason you can't 2hr, go second and keep voking you should both cap hate and you should be able to help the MNK out some after a short while. Your damage is not terrible, LBC has high defense if you don't nerf him although I'm not sure exactly what you mean by "9/10 weakened". Does that mean you got 9/10 gears, or something like half the gears and ate 9 HMs? That many HM in one battle is just plain unlucky and unfortunately that happens sometimes. If you're wiping to HM your mages need to learn how to kite properly while you get hate back. If your mages already have issues kiting make sure you are fighting it downstairs so they don't have to wrestle with the door on top of everything else. Can your group defeat LAC? If they can kite LAC properly LBC should be no different, if not then they really need to learn for both.
I just confirmed my ls we got 5 Skirmish pops on lightsday fullmoon 90%
