A new JP report seems to indicate that simultaneously killing both triple gears on 3F causes the rampart to pop 100%. I'm waiting on a translation because it seems a little ambiguous to me but that's what it looks like. They say they've done it multiple times and it pops the rampart every time.

It takes about 1 minute to actually kill the rampart if you engage it.

What we know is:

Killing 8 gears does nothing (needs verification)
Killing 9 removes hate reset on homing missile from everyone but the primary target
Killing 10 + entering and killing rampart completely nerfs homing missile

Killing 10 and not entering the rampart has not been tested, but it's likely that it's same as killing 10 + entering and killing rampart.

I do Salvage with my LS and also a JP group. Doing with the JP group, and they seem excited, saying "3floor pop (Found it!)" Seems like we'll be testing soon. Entering in 10min or so, I'll post again when we get to the 3rd floor gears.

We pulled it off successfully, rampart popped in the West room.

Also, no NM pops on 3rd floor rampart. ; ;

Nice! Was the above info correct then, just kill 2 Archaic Gears simultaneously and ignore everything else?

Yeah, we pulled both gears into the middle room, slept one and fought the other one down to ~5%, slept it and fought the other to 9%, ES Blizzaga III to knock 'em both out at the same time. Afterwards we split up and checked the rooms, I went East and someone else went West, but he beat me to the room, so I can't say if the rampart is up in both rooms or just one, but it was definately in the West room after we finished.

This is odd, Aircommand is reporting that Zebra Zachary drops Deimos's Gauntlets and Freya's Mask, and that Peryton drops Freya's Jerkin and Enlil's Brayettes. It doesn't change the drops for Gate Widow / Skirmish Pephredo though. So it appears that Freya's Mask and Enlil's Brayettes drop from 2 different Rampart NMs.

lol nice, yesterday I jokingly said to my group how there's something in salvage that you have to kill Ying/Yang style, little did I know there actually was something <_<

I've seen a half dozen Perytons, only drops Ive seen was Freya's Jerkin; nothing conclusive though. We also did LBC last week w/o killing the gears, still a joke; 2x Deimos' Cuirass though /fume.

Did you kill the single gears at all, or did you ignore them?
