Been going with MNK, SAM, and THF as damage here lately. The SAM used to go NIN. SAM is just as effective tanking anything that isnt a chariot, and the damage is rape.

Either luck or high drop rate, but tonight we got our 4th Deimos's Cuisses from Gyro triple gears.
oh how I wish it was high drop rate...
my groups have been going to this area specifically for the Deimos's Cuisses and whatever else the party at the time wants, running about 0/13 on those legs since keeping track so far (along with all other drops). Though it could just be bad luck... knowing my luck I wouldn't write that off.
I hate to ask but are you using TH2, 3, or 4 on that at all? I am having a hard time believing that THF affects 35 drops in this area, but we certainly have a ton of Silver Sea Cards to show for bringing them (looking forward to the days we start farming the 35 gear in Zhayolm Remnants at least)
We had TH3 in 1 pt (killshot thf had that) and TH4 in the other. We got nothing from all the other NM we poked, only this one dropped, and it was the one we wanted leastOriginally Posted by astrael
(i'm only missing usukane 35 for potential 5/5, will still need zhay boss but bleh).
Our stats on g3g are now total within the LS : 4/25+ aurik has the real numbers
Fixed because wafik can't remember his own jobs.Originally Posted by Lordwafik

amazing discovery:
on the second floor whenever an imp uses a WS, the fomors get 100% TP and use it (SE path at least)
I've noticed this. Whenever I link an imp, the group takes the imp, and I kite / deaggro the fomar. It always trys to do a WS.
Just curious how long you guys are spending on each floor.
I have been trying to get my group to handle Hammerblow -> Powderleg -> Gyro3 -> Turtle -> Boss, but we have timed out on boss every time, and thats with skiping Gyro3. We have about 12 people and plenty of DD and fast pulling. First 2 weapon cells goes to Bravura and Amano holders and there is always a mob waiting there when one dies...
We usually farm first 2 inner rooms otw to Hammerblow room to get enough gear/magic/weaps/ja to clear/pop hammer quickly. Then kill him/zone pretty fast. Powderkeg just takes a while to pop unfortunately and Gyro is another time sync.
Turtle we just send thf down at start and link gear train and gear room while 4 people get the ramparts, kill them and pull turtle/chariot and zone up.
Have hit boss with about 7 minutes left the couple times we have done this route and just not sure where else we could get the time.
Think we need at least 5 more minutes with the boss if we are lucky on charms and at least 15 more minutes for gyro3..
Not sure where we can get an extra 20 minutes here.
Advice?
Im curious about more details on this.Originally Posted by Neosutra
Which direction does the THF train to? Where does the main group fight the ramparts and turtle? How do you keep the chariot from being trained away with the gears?
The thf runs in aggs shit and just keeps moving till all agro dissipates. Fight rampart\turtle in the porter roomOriginally Posted by Croaker

I just went and ctrl+f through my logs for those... should give you an accurate idea of how much time we spend on each floor. Hope that helps~

Looks like 20 minutes on first floor. I think we took longer then that, I will see what we can do to speed this up..
25 minutes on 2nd floor seems about right. 16 fomor + 4 imps + NM.
12 minutes to walk to west room, clear 8 gears, and kill Gyro + rampart. Thats really booking it. But I will test out our time on this next run.
about 20 minutes on 4th floor: You kill gears, ramparts, chariot, Turtle. I should be able to save some time if i dont kill the gears.. Maybe I can shave this time downt o 15 minutes..
What do you do for the boss usually? I just have my group zerg it at start so we have it at around 40% before first charm rotation. Kite for a bit then go back to zerging. He is really squishy and doesnt hit very hard so its not too tough.
I think I will aim next time for:
Floor 1: 25 min.
Floor 2: 25 min.
Floor 3: 15 min.
Floor 4: 15 min.
Floor 5: 15 min.
That will give me 5 min to spare here or there based on luck.
Wiki says that the chariot must be killed to access the teleport to the 5th floor. Is this wrong?Originally Posted by Kirschy
Is there a reason to kill the gear train instead of just kiting them wih the rest of the gear and chariot from the rampart room?
I ran some numbers on this damage calculator http://www.killingifrit.com/page.php?al=dcalcOriginally Posted by Lordwafik
It appears full skadi is better than full hecatomb for shark bite and dancing edge but hecatomb is slightly better than skadi for mercy stroke.
I am really looking forward to your 5/5. Ideally the DoT with the +crit makes it better than homam for TP. Then we can do away with swapping macros and have 5 more inventory slots for stacks of wind crystals.
What do you mean zerg at the start? are jack sessions based on time from engage or on hp?Originally Posted by Neosutra
They seem to be triggered by both time or HP. If you hit the HP triggers he will jack at that point, otherwise he will just jack after X period of time anyways. We tend to just zerg after each jack with 1 person using his 2 hours+drinks and start the next jack sequence pretty quickly so the entire LAC fight tends to take 10 minutes or less now.
Kinda what we do, Difference is:Originally Posted by Lhexh
Blms just go all out the entire fight, as I want them to get jacked and hate reset.
Tanks are going to get jacked anyways, so I just have one of them 2 hour for first jack, then 2nd one 2 hour before the 2nd. Pretty much whomever has hate after that is tank...
It doesn't hit very hard at all compared to LBC. As RDM if I have back/weapon which usually almost always do in Silver Sea, it was only hitting me for like 160-200 on non-crit with Cheviot Cape/Terra's Staff (don't remember if it was night or not so at least 25% maybe 30% -phys. dmg taken).
Kirschy, is that with 6 people?
For Boss, we usualli keep 3 melee on it at once. No 2HRs or anything (We used them on gears.) I tanked most of it on DRK/SAM with seigan... like someone else said, it doesn't hit very hard. Charm seems to be HP dependant when the damage rate is fast, so we swap weapons on jacks, and just kite/bind a bit until one of the main melee can get hate back. (I'm usualli the first to get charmed, so a Stun + JA is enough most of the time.) Did 3 sessions of jacks at 75%, 50%, and 25%.
We killed gear train in about 1min 30 seconds with a few 2hrs that run... It just makes the whole CC thing a ton easier imo. We've tried a lot of different ways, but that seems to work best for us. We did kite room twice (once to pull ramparts, once to pull chariot.)
"[00:44:39]Kimble defeats the Archaic Chariot." Was the Chariot Kill for porter.
We usualli do Silver Seas with 8-12. I like Zhay/Arrapago seemed to be aimed at smaller groups, while Bhaf/SS seem to be easier on larger groups.
