Yes
Frog Chorus indeed.Originally Posted by cdgreguh

Frog Chorus, Death, Breakga, Graviga, All spells in game pretty much. Gets the nasty ones during perdition. Immune to blm stun, and its Water Bomb can be painful. Bluemage or Melee stun WS can be used to stun after he uses perdition. Just dont have too many melee on it else it will spam TP moves (one being charm). He doesnt have TOOO much hp, but I would say he is easily the hardest body peice NM.
Perdition = death move by Deviate Bhoot
Providence = Poroggo move that gives it access to death/breakga etc... although I've never seen Don or a Madame use Death, guess just lucky.
Last Zhayolm, our Poroggo Madame used Death twice. Death > Blindga > DeathOriginally Posted by Seditedi
Silversea sucks so fucking bad its to the point where I don't think about 35's dropping anymore and just hope we don't get completely fucked and get 2-3 silversea cards so we can continue spamming zhayolm.
Our last Don did Blindga -> Blindga -> Blindga then deaggroed while it was being kited during charmga, kiter didn't realize it was like 1% lol.......... died to DOT when I was telling him to hurry up and reclaim in case DOT was off >_>, pretty funny lol.Originally Posted by Uzor

Ya providence... always call it perdition. Both moves = me dying usually unless stunned.Originally Posted by Seditedi
As for Don, he can be suuuuuuper easy, or JESUS CHRIST hard. One time we fought him -> Frog Chorus -> Immediate Breakga entire alliance -> Firaga3 -> All dead. RR up, get DoT on, get kiter on it to get people up -> Graviga -> Death.
Next time -> Water bomb AoE 800 damage -> Death -> breakga -> Death -> Chorus -> Open with Ga spell.
This was back when salvage first came out, and we werent really used to fighting frogs, but jesus did this guy seem to be pissed off every time we popped em. With the right support and decent melee stuns, tis an easy fight though.
Yea Bhoot move is instant death, guess we've just had lame frogs >.> lol.
I've never seen it NOT use some gimp spell after using Providence.
How does Providence work anyways? It only gives the Poroggo access to those few spells for very next cast or for X amount of time? Seems like next cast only but I could be wrong
I think it's for X amount of time, but that X is less than the interval between casts (20 seconds?). I've seen Providence used but the next spell was a standard spell like blaze spikes, and the cast was a bit later which is why I believe this. I've also never seen two Providence spells in a row without the move being used again in the intermediate period.
Also, while the ability is up it will only use providence spells.

I was saying they can use it, but if it wears off before their next cast, the next spell is normal. Aurik said any spell they use before it wears off won't be a normal spell. What's the problem here (aside from you misrepresenting what I said and what's more being so smug about it)?
As far as I've experienced, Providence always consists of one Providence spell, and only one. He also casts almost immediately after Providence, making it easy to stun the spell. The only way he would use a non-Providence spell after Providence is if he was bound or if it's a Madame/Gent that can be silenced and it can't use a spell in time. The "wear off" seems to be around 30 seconds from experience (slept/silenced gent or madame).
I've never seen any poroggo cast two Providence spells under the same Providence effect. The TP move is really quite simple. :/
Yea, Wizerd, thats my assumption of how it works.
Mega boss question.
I have done this fight 2-3 times with one salvage group, and am looking at doing it with another soon, we generally have 8 people. As always i have done these fights as blm, so i know the mechanics of the fight, and i know my job, but the melee specifics im a little shady on
pld/rdm/blm
blm
blm/thf
whm/war
thf/smn
brd/pld/nin
sam
drk
just wondering what our best setup is going to be, im hopeful that for boss runs i can get a additional person to come mnk/nin, so i was thinking
rdm, blm, blm(maybe thf for feint?), war, smn, brd, sam, drk, mnk
with mnk/nin and war/nin tanking/meleeing
my main questions are do you think rdm and smn would provide enough healing power? and will war/nin stand up well enough as a second tank? The only other option i see if maybe have the war come whm and the brd come nin?
someone better ask @ the fan festival whats up with the drop rates of this zone, it seems seriously broken. This zone is so bad i just about want to give up on trying to get 35's from here.
I done this zone for 3 weeks straight now
I come out with nothing :/
this seems alot worse than arrapago
Silversea is fucking terrible, way too unreasonable, atleast in arrapago the chariot seemed to put out. Macha and demios wasent that bad toward us we ended up with 4 morrigan's robe's and 4 ares's bodies(3 completed) and have yet to see a macha slops and 35 usukane head.
Miraculously, we saw one Usukane head from this zone. Unfortunately, Battleclad Chariot seems to like dropping nothing but Tsukikazu Togis every kill.
As for Macha's slops, yeah. . we're still having crappy luck with those. On the other hand, we have LOTS AND LOTS OF HOSHIKAZU HAKAMA.
