it's really only good if you have all three jobs at 75 (and even then I doubt you'd wear the whole set all together except in town)Originally Posted by Crosis

Today we will try LAC with 4 smn + a bst :D The fight will be easy??
Probably, but why not get a normal pt with 6 ppl and kill every NM on the way?Originally Posted by Starlink
we go with 2 pt btw so we can farm Hammerblow and Gyro 3.But idk if we can kill Powderked too with time :/Originally Posted by Kaylia
With 4 SMN and a BST your melees won't even need to fight to kill it, although they still should to speed up the kill.Originally Posted by Starlink
1/47 on Hammerblow. He finally dropped for us after about eight months. And I almost didn't go.
Could I get some advice on the best farming route to hit these 3 NMs in one run with our setup(MNK,MNK,NIN,RNG,RDM,RDM): Powderkeg Yanadahn, Gyroscopic Gear, and Long-Armed Chariot.
My group is rather new to salvage and we don't want our route to be too ambitious while we're just starting out. Also, sorry if this has been asked before I don't have time to look through 23 pages.
Can't hit Powderkeg and Gyroscopic Gear in the same run, unless you meant Gyroscopic Gears (plural).
Oh, I didn't know that thanks for the info. Could we clear 2 NMs, Powderkeg and LAC or Gyroscopic Gear and LAC, with our setup?Originally Posted by Suiram
Your setup is weird, but I don't see why not. One NM + boss is setting the bar pretty low, although you can always add more stuff to it once you are comfortable with the boss fight and what you can expect on the way up.
Make the RNG or NIN go BRD and you'll do excellent. I do believe you'll have quite a hard time killing the boss if you're new without a BRD.
Iunno though, I have 2 people that can go BRD, so I never had that problem.
Yea my main worry is that we have no bard sort of. I have 2 characters and one has all the jobs we need for salvage, and the other only has MNK. I'm trying to finish usukane pants for my monk-only character so I can switch back to my main one.Originally Posted by Uzor
I read alot of pages in this topic but not all, i'd dig through em all to find the answer I need but I got no time since i'm entering Salvage soon:
Is it possible to do Powerdeg NM (macha slops) , citadel chelonian AND boss in one run? If so what setup is best and do you have any tips?
Thanks in advance
Yes it's possible but would be very difficult. Some groups do those three plus GGS, but my group is never able to make time for all. Powderkeg is the biggest time sink. Clearing the fomors from this room takes ages. Skipping GGS and having THF train the gears+ramparts to quickly select the stationary and port up to CC room would save time. If you can get the CC pull quick enough (if you have prior experience with it) then you can still have time for MB. We usud to do hamerblow/powderkeg/GGS/CC but I finally got hammerblow drop and no one else wants it so now we try to just do the other 3 without MB.
Thanks for the reply.Originally Posted by fuergrissa
We've never done CC before so might be better to just choose between CC or MB then?
Sch/Rdm with Gaiters is pure win for the Gear Train.
Get Fanatic's drink, Manifestation > Sleepga. Group peels and kill them off one by one, but whilst they do this, Manifestation > Graviga then kite in the first 2 rooms. When Gravity wears, Manifestation > Bindga. At which point, you -should- have another charge up, and can Manifestation > Sleepga again. If not 2 Hour simply to reset your Strategem count, and you can Sleepga/Graviga/Bindga them indefinately with a Revitalizer, or at least long enough for you to clear the Train without any trouble whatsoever.
Or just have a Blm Fanatic > Sleepga and perma Sleepga them over and over. Sch is much more fun though ^^
Also, here's a double post for you but collecting some info on the Static drops of SilverSeas.
In the last room on each side before they join again on the first floor, you have Fomors with Static drops. If you get POLUtils, and rename the Ashu Talif Crew numbers 1 thru 108, these numbers are which drop what.
1st Floor, East Side (3 first cell, 2 second):
- ATC 14 = Weapon/Str
ATC 15 = Body/MP
ATC 16 = SJ/Head
ATC 17 = JA/Hands
ATC 18 = Magic/Legs
ATC 19 = Ranged/Back
ATC 20 = Vit/Rings
ATC 21 = HP/Mnd
1st Floor, West Side (3 first cell, 1 second haven't logged, sorry :<):
- ATC 39 = Weapons
ATC 40 = Bodies
ATC 41 = Subjobs
ATC 42 = Job Abilities
ATC 43 = Magic
ATC 44 = HP
Though this list is kinda moot, because you have to clear them all anyway to open the door and pop the NM.
2nd Floor, All Imps-type Mobs:
- Imp 1 = Weapon/Body
Imp 2 = Subjob/Job Abilities
Imp 3 = Magic/Strength
Imp 4= HP/MP
There are 4 Devilets and 8 Heraldic Imps. The Devilets (Powderkeg room) drop 2 of each, and the Heraldic Imps, when number 1 thru 8, are repetition (so 1 and 5, 2 and 6, 3 and 7, 4 and 8 ) share the same drops, but drop 3 of each. This is of every room.
Other than the West side on Floor 1, you can only pull the cells you need from the East room and skip the rest to save time; same is said of the Heraldic Imps and in the rooms they are in.
I'm currently testing a Theory that the Archaic Ramparts aren't actually random in the Gyroscopic Gears room, that the same "number" Rampart ports up, but the position they load is different. Needs more testing though.
This whole numbering thing was spurred from knowing that Zhayolm has static drop, and some other mobs in other zones too have static drops, so renaming the Mobs to what they drop allows an easier farm and less wasted cells and time, when SilverSea is a mesh of everything at random.
I don't know what others do, but on Hammeblow side by the time you kill Hammeblow everyone is pretty much completely unlocked except for gear and random stats which eventualy drop from clearing rooms you are forced to clear anyway for NM pops. I've never ever worried about cells in this area, just clearing the first initial side rooms is usualy enough for a small group (6-8) and sometimes you may want to clear a third small room if something key is missing. The rest comes from the 6 fomors in Hammer's room. Past that, it's cell extravaganza whatever path you choose (Dekka or Powder).
As for Citadel, we've done it very little, but what we do is as soon as we reach the floor, pull the 4 doors down to the initial room. One person sacs the room with PD or whatever means they have and four people pull one door each. These doors have fairly high HP, kinda like the door you have to kill to access this floor, so you are looking at four long fights here. After that pull Citadel to the room and finish it, easy enough. I think i've timed this to take us up to 20 minutes total or so. If you went for the boss you'd have to kill the charriot there too to open the door, so this can be pretty time consuming really.
I'd say that in any random boss run targeting 2 NMs is easy enough. Hammerblow -> Powderkeg -> boss is more than possible for most groups, or even Hammerblow -> Dekka -> GG1 (it's around the same time). I'd say any extra NMs past that (plus boss) would need a more refined group with more than decent gear (Assuming you have a small group) than the average. We've managed all NMs except Citadel, plus boss, but that's where our limit is currently. Easiest zone in salvage, there's really no mystery here.
Oh, and before i forget: I hate this freaking zone because of the drop rates.
Thanks! That'll help =)fur joo
My rdm does that.Originally Posted by Aemora
