With 3 melees 2 houring and 2 brds SVing, the ramparts are dead in 3-4 min MAX.

It takes about 35 seconds to run back down to the CC room and engage.

It takes about 2-3 minutes to kill CC depending on TP, buffs, dispelga spam.

8 minutes to pop and kill CC is NOT unreasonable and certainly not impossible. However you do need to add another minute for thf to flee down to portal (we have the thf flee down the middle of the room and head to portal while we pull chariot off him and kill, right after CC dies, instead of pulling it with initial rampart pull).

    Suck less.

With what lol? I already said that was our personal record, and I dont frap every Salvage.

You prove that it is impossible. Work some equation magic where you map out the walk plans and time it takes to kill each rampart's HP versus the damage you can output from each 2 hour. The show me that anything I said was un believable.

And to be clear, an "average" run on that floor should be between 10-12 minutes. If you are taking 15, you need to reorg your group.

I just said that 8 min was our "record", not our average. Are you hard of hearing or just dense?

An average time people should shoot for is 10 min.

Is your group really that shitty?

Insulting my group's skill won't lead you anywhere. You pretend we suck ? Cool, now prove that you actually spend <10 minutes on CC floor.

Nothing to really pretend. If your group is spending 15 to 20 minutes on the 4th floor, you DO suck. And next time we do SSR, ill fraps it, so you can see what you've been missing.

And your 10 min quote to pull and kill the ramparts was with 3 melee and 1 brd (according to your first respons). I stated 3 melee 2 brd and a blm for damage, which is a hell of alot more than just 3 melee +1 brd. Either way:

How the hell is it taking you 8-9 minutes to kill the ramparts, when it only takes 1-2 to pull the ramparts back to the portal room.

Here we go, and now the "10 min on CC floor" suddenly became "10 min killing 4 rampart" lmao. You said 8-10 min on cc floor. Killing 4 ramparts is half of the work. I said 15 min on CC floor, warping included you said 8.

I was quoting your numbers, as I said. Never did I say it takes my group that long.

Is english your first language? I really hope not.

If you don't frap every salvage, then post the ones that you have frapped. I'd like to see "under 8-10 minutes" as well.

    Working on it.

Next SSR is probably Monday. Taking a few new people, but we can probably pull off < 10 min pretty easy, even with a couple inexperienced people. We will see if we get it lower.

Will fraps just that floor though, so the file isnt 16 Gigs.

    I've frapped entire runs before. The total file size is about 46 gb, 1.18 gb total when you encode it, so yeah <.<;

To be honest, I'd love to see it even if it doesn't take less than ten minutes, been having hard time with this floor, usually unable to do it unless we skip something else, and seeing another group do it would probably help tons.

Many new salvage groups struggle with LAC. things to note are 1) learn how to kite LAC during Brainjack phase and 2) re-establish hate after tanks are uncharmed.

A foolproof way to kite LAC is to run in figure of 8, just loop around pillars near the 2 teleporter-like structure. It's easier to explain with a diagram. If done right, LAC will get stuck between the pillars and your mage will never get charmed.

Use JAs (provoke, warcry, dodge/focus) and HP meds to build hate after tanks are uncharmed. Mages can take a few hits with full stoneskin and blink and should run towards LAC few seconds after both tanks are uncharmed. Debuff LAC and do not cast big cure spells on melee after Brainjack wears off.

Making sure it doesn't cut you off is big. The right teleport square is where a lot of people will get charmed because LAC can just go straight through as there is no elevation there. Just booking it for the whole charm phase will most likely get you charmed. You need to be able to maintain a certain distance, not too close and not too far.

Just a bump on a positive note, with THF MNK RDM trio we were doing great, added a fourth member in as MNK to help us out when we finally had everything out of the way to do turtle, went 1/1 on drop with that 3-man strat plus was able to kill other NMs like Gyros np, with 15 mins remaining.

One thing we did change, THF fleed to end, didn't die, once we got to porter room, THF fleed back to us, so we had 3 melees, for the 3 ramparts we pulled, left a north west one last since it had least distance to go/easiest to pull, THF resacced south again, then back to us to TH the turtle. Didn't lose anyone and gained an extra melee.

Did SSR tonight, but apparently found out that you have to buy full version of fraps, else it will stop recording after 30 seconds >.> (I dont record much in game). Doing another SSR probably friday, Ill get one then.

However, I kept closer eye on time and here was our times for 4th floor:

Mnk, Sam, Drg, Brd Brd rdm. Thf sack, and had another rdm for support.

Took 62 seconds to move from portal to rampart room and start sack.
Took 4.5 minutes to kill all 4 ramparts with just double SV (mnk and sam didnt have 2 hours ready due to being retarded and using them right before event).
Took a little over a minute to kill CC.

However, it also took almost 2 minutes to get the ramparts from the main room to the portal room due to one being retardedly slow. Took just under 30 seconds to kill the 2 pets the ramparts spawned. Took 40 seconds to run from portal room to CC room to kill CC. Then took another 2 min for thf to flee down center of room towards portal to zone us up while we killed chariot.

Ended up zoning a little under 12 minutes.

Had a couple new people, but things that cost us time:
1 rampart lost aggro like 4 times, even when I was hella close >.>.
Ramparts kept using bind right as they died Q.Q, cost 5 or so seconds between ramparts.
Melees didnt have 2 hour active (probably shave another minute off rampart times).
Thf was slow to zone up (20 seconds or so).

With a bit closer eye on the rampart pulling, melees with 2 hours, and a blm for additional damage/support, you can see it is pretty reasonable to get under 9-10 minutes on that floor. Either way, even with mediocre performance, you shouldnt be spending more than 12-13 minutes.

Ill see if we can get a perfect run on friday.

I dont know about under 8 minutes, but slightly over 8 minutes sure. Add a blm, melee 2 hours, and fix a few errors and you can see that target time is very achievable.

Im trying to set a 10 minute max standard however on that floor, for my group at least. Keep working at it until everything flows like clockwork. Any time we get lower than that, then great.
