The 4th floor chariot in silver sea is like the same strength as a gear >.> Doesn't mean it can't be done, but it's still comparing apples and oranges.

Re: Salvage - Arrapago Remnants - thread 2

We went yesterday in one pt setup on Arrapago. Setup was: NIN, WAR, BLM, WHM, BRD, RDM.

I did couple of Arrapagos already, although in bigger alliances, but yesterday it was insane. Cells drop rate in this zone is some kind of mistake. 1st floor went quite smooth - we focused only on Lamias, kill 2-3 Qutrubs in corridors that we had to along with some Skelets cause of the same reason. After 30 min we got 5 magics and 1 wpn, but we noobed one pull and our WHM died near Qutrubs so it took a while before he could RR himself. Went NE teleport. 2nd floor and 3rd floor was pure waste of time - we clear NE room on 2nd floor with one HP and one magic cell :/ (not a single equip). Killed QQA (no drop of course) and warp to 3rd floor. We cleared 1st and 2nd room getting only one magic (which was pretty useless), positioned ourselves and attacked QQTH - we kinda suck at these so it took us quite a long time with deaths, loosing aggro, and regening QQTH HP. Eventually we killed it (no drop of course) and went 4th floor. Killed another QQTH cause we had 10 min left (no drop too).

Are you guys running all naked as well through this remnants? For pure NM killing cells seem not really necessary but when it comes to Mega Boss I can't imagine fighting it w/o some equip or stats :/ Does drop rate on 4th, 5th and 6th floor are more reliable? I planned to just avoid everything that we don't have to kill on 1st, 2nd and 3rd floor since it's obvious waste of time for us :/ But w/o anything better on higher floors it seems pretty though case...

You need a Thief. First floor just try to get maybe a weapon off the Qutrub, mostly ignore them. Kill the lamia and maybe two rooms of skeletons and you should warp up with an additional 2-3 magic, 2-3 JA, 1-2 HP and some gear on your DDs. Second floor, pull the two lamia, ignore skeletons or qutrubs unless you want to TP up on one, and drop the QQA. Third floor should finish you up on magic and hp/mp if you take the East/North path, ignoring only the rectangle room. SJ cells and some gear will drop off gears over the remaining floors.

Even with a THF, you will be largely naked in this salvage until the highest floors....

Its just the way it is...

Im happy when I get enough weapons / ability / magic to be effective, forget gear...and oh yeah Im happy when a ranged dorps for my bards and/or ranger!

We won't get TH for this 6 ppl initiative for sure. I was just wondering if there is any sense fightin mobs on low levels. As in party I highly doubt we will manage to kill Mega Boss anyway, we just want to focus on NMs on floors 2-5.

Lack of SJs and HP/MP is what hurt the most. We're getting enough magic and abbility on floor 1 already.

I did 3 Arrapagos after update and we got at least one Undulatus Cell 3 times from red chest - is this 100% (like 2 wpns) here or you didn't have so many luck as we have?

Unfortunately SJs don't drop till fourth floor, but! You should make sure you have your thief steal from QQA...sometimes get lucky

On lower levels we always go for some Qutrubs, and some Draugar in addition to all Lamia until we get what we need....

You can sneak/invis around quts/draugar once you get what you want from them..
Generally I am satisfied with 2 HP cells, 1-2 weapon drops (depends who comes), a couple head/neck from Draugar/Qutrub..

As far as Lamia, I kill em all to everyone has ability, ranged, magic so we can be more efficient later...after all the mobs on the first floor are a complete joke compared to later floors....

Re: Salvage - Arrapago Remnants - thread 2

We did Arrapago again 2 days ago (I'm in Vejitta's alliance) with 14 ppl and this time we got plenty of drops (with TH3, as I didn't get the weapon). We got:
    - Enyo's Cuisses x 1
    - Anu's Gaiters x 1
    - Nemain's Slops x 2
    - Freya's Ledelsens x 1 (yay 2/3 feet!)
    - Arrapago Card x 1

Mobs were also dropping many cells - so TH really works there.

We got to the boss but only with 10 minutes left - we managed to beat it to 50% and ran out of time. Next time we'll skip QQTH and QQA as we spent about 10-12 minutes on those total.

I noticed that the Steal rate from QQTH and QQA is quite high - I managed to get 100% efficiency (3/3) on those. Is it just luck? Can you fail the steal from them?

You do realize you just listed trash drops right ? Those drops are the equivalent of getting Relic Mauls in dyna-windy.

    To each their own, Wafik.

You might not need anymore Skadi Feet or Lv15 armor, but I'm sure other groups still do, and cherish these drops which do make them closer to upgrading. Some people still haven't seen these drops, and aren't as lucky as you are with your Lv35 success rate (20/21 upgrades now?).

    Everyone started somewhere.

Uh... its not just "to each their own". Lv 35s are something to be proud of, Lv 25s can be too considering the bosses can kinda decide to be little bastards and not drop what you need but the Lv 15s are either high rate drops from normal monsters or 100% drops, they're trash and most groups that even start salvage can start freelotting/tossing these within just a few runs.

Re: Salvage - Arrapago Remnants - thread 2

Been doing Arrapago for some time now, not too much luck on NMs, but not complaining since we have completed 2 Ares Bodys so far. Just curious though, as we increase our efficiency, I still see us lacking about 15 minutes somewhere that other people are not and am curious as to how much time yall spend.

I see some people are doing All QQs, bhoot or flayer, Chariot, clearing 6th floor gears to open door, and then beating boss.

My group tends to run out of time on 6th floor, and that is usually with skipping bhoot or flayer.

We usually spend about 30 min on first floor, getting JA/Magic/MP/Ranged. Usually dont worry about HP cause we can pull a rampart for that later on if needed.
Second floor is a little less then 10 min, just killing the 2 lamia, store tp on a skele for QQ, and then kill QQ and zone up.

Third is a pain still, as we havent quite perfected this. I usually send 2 blms and a rdm to time nuke the QQ TH and then put bio on it, and have the rest of the alliance wait at start and WS/Nuke to kill it. Problem is that it usually doesnt die when we get back and doesnt stop to fight anyone. Perhaps we should clear the first room and just follow it till it stops and finish it off, but most of the time if we dont kill it then, i just zone up to avoid time wasting. Just painful to waste 10 min and not kill it.

4th floor is easy we have traditionally skipped bhoot/flayer, but id like to start adding these in as we have a few members 2/3. TH is easy. But im sure bhoot or flayer + TH would add at least 10 more good minutes.

5th floor i send a thf to the door while the alliance kills the 4 gears in the way. We drop the QQ fast, then head to the chariot. Chariot usually takes about 7-8 minutes to kill. Leaving us on this floor for at least 15 minutes, usually 20 (trying to speed this up).

6th floor: Clear all the gears to open door: Just another time synch.

Any suggestions to help speed this up? Id love to hit all the NMs and the boss in the same run, and my group is pretty experienced with salvage, just dont seem to be getting there. No spharai mnks, no ridill wars. As for initial damage we usually have 2 mnks, thf, and melee or 2 to make darkness with the mnks on gears(war or sam). Usually 1 whm, 1 rdm, 1 brd, 2 blms, 1 nin, 1 pup.

    Advice is welcome.

Don't worry about the SAM, NIN and PUP getting cells. Get one of the MNKs as many cells as you can, and either do the same for the other MNK or the WAR.

Magic, MP, JA drop more commonly on Floors 3 and 4 than they do on Floor 1.

Their group DID list a lv35 drop though, and Wafik still shrugged it off as trash.

The Freya's is good since it's a lv35, the rest is trash.

Also, lv35 are not something to be proud of unless you're proud of your luck. They are nearly as easy to get as lv15s, they just require more trips. Lv25 are something to be proud of, even if the bosses aren't hard for some groups anymore.

The only items to really be proud of in Salvage anymore are

    Freya's Trousers
    Enlil's Gambison
    Macha's Pigaches
    Enlil's Tiara
    Hikazu Gote
    Deimos's Leggings

    and the ever-so-elusive Macha's Coat

Every time we pop out of arrapago we vent our anger by pulling all the qiqurn in alzaadal and blasting them to hell... rats have been very very unkind to us so far in this area

The nin doesnt get weapons unless we happen to get some extra. But first 2 weapon goes to thf and war. Then sam. JA mnk -> thf -> mnk -> war/sam -> rdm etc.. The war and sam really helps clear out gears and such fast. 2 darkness SCs means i can steadily pull gears on 6th floor cause we always have a darkness to wipe it out when it gets to melee. As for rest of cells, ya, we equip the mnks first. But they do tend to get weapons after thf/war/sam. And are you saying cut first floor lamia farming down alot and farm 3rd/4th floor, cause increased drop rate has been speculation from what ive seen?

Those 4 mobs are probably why most people go to that Salvage. At least for us. Why skip them? (Well, them and Chariot).

Last night, we did Arrapago with 6 people (MNK, WAR, THF, BLM, BRD, RDM) and killed both QQTHs and QQAs, plus the Psychflayer and Archaic Chariot on 5th Floor for 35s. And we still had time to spare.

Yea, wtf. Why skip mobs that drop stuff you can easily complete in exchange for killing a mob that drops stuff which is for all intents and purposes completely useless?

Wut? I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not, but body pieces aren't easy to complete. <_<
