Just kill all of the ramparts. (before 10 min mark?)
Some random thing they did that isnt apparent due to its subltety atm...
If your run tested the all archiac machinary, then i would say a couple easy tests would be (ill try to do one of these tonight):
Kill all ramparts before 10 min mark.
Kill all machinary before 10 min mark.
Just clear the room before 10 min mark and not open door. (ill most likely test this one since my group is small for arrapogga and we usually are stretched for time as is).
If the time issue is just a coincidence, and not linked to "killing all machinary" either, then I would have to say the secret lies in one or two of the ramparts reinforcements.
his entire walkthrough is out as below:
1F:
NW , NE, SW cleared entire path
SE killed some and rampart pop
after which killed rampart then sabotender
2F:
Head right to qiqirn
did not kill Astrologer
3F:
South Route
cleared all 3 small rooms
skipped huge room
killed TH no drop coat, warped before opening box
4F:
Killed all gear for SJ
went to check out rampart and craps
2 ramparts popped 4 crabs
then head to TH, no drop coat
opened box and went soulflayer NM, which dropped 35 head
5F:
cleared small room of gears
cleared entire huge room's gear and ramparts
MAYBE(wtf he said maybe -_-) rampart used reinforcement and popped orobon, his kill log did not state orobon tho....
opened door, killed chariot, then qiqirn
6F:
Killed all gear and rampart
MAYBE(again zzz) order is single gear > 3 gears > rampart
last mob is rampart which pop a treant, kileld rampart then treant
and then
.......
PT member 1>> ohh
PT member 2>> ooooohhhh
he ran over to check it out
Himself>> oooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
saw 2 TH
Door to 7F was not opened
END
btw i dont see anything special cept he kill more gears(all infact) and ramparts.maybe multiple moan to pop? j/k
Looking more at their kills, I'm going to try and distinguish what they did more precisely.
Qutrub: 32
There are two obvious ways they'd arrive at this number. There are 26 Qutrubs on Floor 1, which leaves six unaccounted for.
- On floor 2, there are six Qutrubs in each of the two west rooms.
- On floor 3, there are 7 Qutrubs... 6 if you ignore the one in the southern Psycheflayer room.
Since they killed the QQTH, it's obvious they killed these six. Also, it's pretty impractical on to warp up from the west side on Floor 1, so I'd assume they didn't touch the Floor 2 Qutrubs at all.
Lamia Dartist: 3
- Floor 1 (NW) Two of them.
- Floor 3 (SW) First room you come to, one of them.
Lamia Fatedealer: 3
- Floor 1 (SW) Two of them.
- Floor 3 (SW) Second room you come to, one of them.
Lamia Graverobber: 2
- Floor 1 (NW) Two of them.
- The one in the Floor 3 Psycheflayer room got ignored.
Lamia Dancer: 2
- Floor 1 (SW) Two of them.
- The one in the Floor 3 Psycheflayer room got ignored.
This reaffirms that they warped from either NE or SE on Floor 1, and tells us part of what they did on Floor 3.
Gespnst: 3
- Three on Floor 1 NE.
- Two on Floor 2 NE.
- They likely killed the three on Floor 1.
Merrow Chantress: 3
- Three on Floor 1 NE.
- Two on Floor 2 NE.
- They likely killed the three on Floor 1.
Merrow Shadowdancer: 1
- One in the first room you come to on the SE side.
- They didn't kill the Icedancer blocking the second Shadowdancer, if this one isn't obvious enough.
Merrow Kabukidancer: 1
- One in the second room you come to on the SE side.
Reserve Draugar: 17
- Going by what we know, they killed a lot of stuff on the NE path, and went about halfway on the SE path.
- 1st SE Room: 2
- 1st SE Hallway: 1
- 2nd SE Room: 3
- Backtrack and head to the NE wing...
- NE/SE Hallway: 1
- 1st NE Room: 2
- 1st NE Hallway: 1
- 2nd NE Room: 3
- 3rd NE Room: 3
- 4th NE Room: 1
That's 17. Judging by that, it's pretty clear what they did on Floor 1.
Psycheflayer: 3
- We know they killed the NM, so that's one.
- They took the southern path on Floor 3, and killed the QQTH, so it's safe to assume the other two are the ones found in the third room.
That finishes off what they did on Floor 3... Floor 4 is self-explanitory.
So, cliff notes....
Floor 1:
- Everything killed on the NW wing.
- Everything killed on the SW wing
- Killed the everything in the northern half of the SE wing.
- Killed everything on the NE wing, and warped up.
- At some point, they killed the Rampart, and Sabotender reinforcement.
Floor 2:
- Going by what we know of Floor 1 compared with their charts, they killed nothing in the room they warped to.
- They did not kill the QQA. (According to Athars.)
Floor 3:
- Killed everything on the floor besides anything found in that big southern room.
- Killed the QQTH.
Floor 4:
- Killed all six Archaic Gear.
- Killed both Arachaic Ramparts.
- Killed all four Nipper reinforcements.
- Killed the Psycheflayer NM.
- Killed the QQTH.
Floor 5:
- Killed all Archaic Gear & Gears.
- Killed all three Ramparts, and their reinforcements.
- Killed the Archaic Chariot.
- Killed the QQA.
- Reinforcements were (2) Devil Mantra and (1) Demonic Pugil between the three Ramparts.
Floor 6:
- Killed all four Archaic Gear mobs.
- Killed all four Archaic Gears.
- Killed both Ramparts.
- Killed a single Seasonal Treant Reinforcement.
Edit: I hate you arthars, because I just spent all this time figuring out what they did exactly, and you went and beat me to it... I'm posting it anyway.
Also, I'm having recurring panic attacks that the Seasonal Treant is the key to this, and there's one of those "lol crafting theories" that actually pops the QQTH.
Seasonal Treants sometimes are flowered, and sometimes not, right?
If they're the key, the pop condition could really be anything... time, day, season, direction you're facing, direction the tree is facing, elemental magic... etc...
I hope that's not it.
Leaves/color on seasonal treants varies depending on in-game month.
Restating: Killed all ramparts before 10min warning, nothing. Got the 10min warning about 10-15seconds after the last treant died.Originally Posted by Julian

Ok, ill try tonight and just clear the 6th floor and wait for 10 min warning and see what happens.Originally Posted by Julian
Im really think though, that the answer lies in the treant. How its killed, what "mode" it was in maybe, etc etc.
If the answer only lied in the Treant, it would probably have been discovered during one of the previous 100+ kills of Treants.Originally Posted by Neosutra
We tried to replicate to the best of our ability the run that they did, killing the same wings, etc. Three things differed:
1) We killed QQA on 2nd floor
2) We got an orobon on 5th floor
3) We killed last treant with 8min left
No pop.
I'm leaning towards maybe the QQA warping or the 10min warning is the key at this point.

But atm im focused on testing clearing the floor by 10 min mark, which I will try tonight, though im almost positive my group wont be able to kill all the archiac machinary as well (6 member group on tuesdays).
Well, my point was that if the only factor involved was the Treant, it would have been found by now, regardless of what it was. The Treant has been killed a lot of times since that's the only way to get to boss, it's probably been killed every possible way it can be killed.Originally Posted by Neosutra
Has it been confirmed that the QQTH spawned right at the 10 minute mark, or was the SS just taken as the 10 minute mark message appeared?
Unless there is some weird seasonal related trigger associated with the Treat...but i agree, that's unlikelyOriginally Posted by divisortheory

Second one got a nasty Thundaga III off, but awesome nonetheless.
