Something about "the dark glossy wall sector of the great temple of arteau" - but you never know with Babelfish.

He said it was unintentional, they were just doing the same thing as last time

looks like a 3 ares 3 macha thing

    2 TH but each drop a body, not 4 macha anymore ; ;

they got a Ares body from 1 of the Treasure Hunters

BUT THE OTHER TH YET TO CONFIRM THO

4 ares will be laughing stock, so i think its 3-3

and he also mentioned nothing new about info as he just did the exact things that he did before to pop the 2, except this time we have SS of an orobon haha

It's very possible that these THs work like Bhaflau Rampart NMs and the Chariot on the previous floor where both body pieces are in both the QQTH's loot pools. This would give it 4 chances per body piece per Arrapago run which would be hot.

So far I haven't seen anyone reproduce the JPs run exactly. A few people have tried, but either some ramparts didn't spawn a reinforcement, or they killed ramparts+reinforcements first instead of last, or they killed both QQA and both QQTH, etc.

seriously the info they provided is very minimal, i guess he just wanna pop a few more times before unleashing the real full complete walkthrough of what they did in specific ;\

I'm sorry but did any group got NO reinforments from the 2 Arhcaic Ramparts in 6th floor? On a run a couple of weeks ago we got no treants reinforcments which made us all pissed because we needed some stats cells for Armored Chariot

I'm not a big fan of recording times and stuff during our runs, I let someone else handle it since I'm busy writing how to distribute cells to the group and who lot/pass on any drop.

Re: Salvage - Arrapago Remnants - thread 2

A quick analysis of the mobs they killed (the list that Divisor posted) and I determined exactly what they killed. It's possible there is 1 mistake, being that they could have killed the 2F QQA in time and ported up really quickly, if they'd saved TP from the floor before, and not done 5F QQA, but I would assume they did do 5F QQA because it's always taken us a little over 2min to kill 2F when we go straight to him and port.

Also, considering we see a screenshot of an Orobon in the second successful pop, I would say it's probably safe to assume that we don't need certain reinforcements to spawn in order to replicate the run. It's pretty reasonable to just say kill any reinforcements that happen to pop. If they don't pop, lucky you.

    1F:
    - Kill all of the Northwest, Southwest wings.
    - Kill the first two rooms of the Southeast wing.
    - Kill all of the Northeast wing.
    - Kill Archaic Rampart & his reinforcement (Note: they left 2 Merrows up in the Southeast wing; if Rampart hasn't popped by killing everything but these, you're SOL for reproducing the run exactly.

    2F:
    - Steal from QQA and port up. Just porting up would have taken less than 2 minutes, but finding it and stealing from it, then porting, seems about right.

    3F:
    - Kill the first 3 rooms on the South/West path, then pull and kill QQTH.

    4F:
    - Kill all normal monsters outside of the Psycheflayer room (Nippers, Archaics, everything).
    - Kill Psycheflayer NM only.
    - Kill QQTH.

    5F:
    - Kill everything, including Archaic Chariot and QQA.

    6F:
    - Kill everything, but leave the two Ramparts to the end, and kill the one closest to the door/teleporter last. (The first run has them facing south looking at the QQTHs, and the second screenshot looks similar but we can't tell since he is engaged.)

If everyone shows up for my run tonight I'm gonna try to reproduce it. My JP group tried, but we killed 2 extra Merrow on 1F, 4 extra Skeletons, and went North route instead of South (killed Bhoot instead of Psycheflayer too).

I asked Elmer to translate everything that entry and here's what I got: (THANKS ELMER I LOVE YOU)

The title of the blog entry is "Conditions Unknown," which is a bad omen for how much information we can get out of this.

    ((Pic: Fighting an Orobon))

I don't understand the conditions surrounding the 6th Floor of Arapaggo... We imitated what we did last time and got them to pop. If you do the same, it will pop of course, but I want to derive the pop conditions from it somehow. Umm, anyway there will be some more information later...

    ((Pic: Chokoruninng towards QQ TH))

    6NM yay etc

    ((Pic: Chokorun fighting QQ TH))

In an earlier entry, he pops 2 of the QQ

We checked out the 6th Floor Qiqirun. And they popped!! But only 2 of them lol
Once we had wiped out everything on the 6th floor, they popped in the center. (before opening the door)
I'll look at the logs again to get a better idea of the pop conditions, so please hang on a little.

    Then he adds this

    Check out what we did:

    FLOOR ONE (1)
    • NW area, SW area, killed everything (Qutrub + Lamia)[/*:m:f8f08]
    • NE area, killed everything, SE killed maybe just a few[/*:m:f8f08]
    • NM Rampart popped, called out Sabotender which we killed (trying to get Hands unlocked)[/*:m:f8f08]

    FLOOR TWO (2)
    • Walked straight through[/*:m:f8f08]
    • The leader didn't want to mess around so we skipped the Qiqirun[/*:m:f8f08]

    FLOOR THREE (3)
    • South route[/*:m:f8f08]
    • Completely wiped out the 3 small rooms[/*:m:f8f08]
    • Skipped through the big room[/*:m:f8f08]
    • Took down the Qiqirun, no drop[/*:m:f8f08]
    • Got warped before I could open the box, LS wanted to move on[/*:m:f8f08]

    FLOOR FOUR (4)
    • Destroyed all the Gears and got our subjobs back[/*:m:f8f08]
    • We found 2 Ramparts and killed them[/*:m:f8f08]
    • We didn't want to do crabs, but someone aggro'd them so we had no choice[/*:m:f8f08]
    • We started with 1, but then ended up with 4 to deal with, so it was pretty rough[/*:m:f8f08]
    • All in all, we took out 2 Ramparts and 4 Crabs[/*:m:f8f08]
    • Just like the Qiqirun, no drops[/*:m:f8f08]
    • I took everything I saw out of the box and drank some juice[/*:m:f8f08]
    • We killed a big Soulflayer that dropped Macha's Crown[/*:m:f8f08]

    FLOOR FIVE (5)
    • Killed all the Gears in the little rooms[/*:m:f8f08]
    • Defeated the Rampart, Devil Manta popped out so we killed that too[/*:m:f8f08]
    • In the large room, we killed all the Gears and Ramparts. I believe the Ramparts popped out Mantas and Pugils[/*:m:f8f08]
    • Opening the door caused a Chariot and Qiqirun to pop[/*:m:f8f08]
    • Killed the Chariot, then the Qiqirun, no drops[/*:m:f8f08]

    FLOOR SIX (6)
    • Killed all Gears and Ramparts[/*:m:f8f08]
    • We most likely killed the single Gears first, then the Triplet Gears, then the Ramparts.[/*:m:f8f08]
    • We destroyed everything until there was just one Rampart left, and it popped a tree[/*:m:f8f08]
    • We killed the Rampart, then we killed the tree[/*:m:f8f08]

The Qiqirun popped... but only 2.
The door to the 7th Floor was not opened. And that is everything that we did.

Oh there's more stuff in his comments section

    Warp door opening sequence

    • On every floor we killed the Ramparts and whatever they summoned before opening the door to the Warp room[/*:m:f8f08]
    • 4th Floor, killed Gears???killed Crabs???Funguar???Rampart?? Qiqirun???Psycheflayer NM[/*:m:f8f08]
    • 5th Floor, killed Gears???Ramparts???summoned mobs???opened door???chariot???Qiqirun; check the previous entry for times[/*:m:f8f08]

About the number of Treants popping

We got 2 Treants, but it's weird... Their leaves change based on the seasons of Vana'diel, but two trees popped and one was Spring and the other Winter. I didn't even notice their difference in leaves...
If it was the turning point between two season I'd understand, but this is bugging me now.

    Today's Verification Attempt

Today we went again to try and verify our findings. The result: no pop...
On floors 1 and 2 we chose a different route than before. I wonder if that's the problem. On the 6th floor we popped 2 Treants that were both Spring. Umm... I'm confused lol

Here's a FAQ from his comments section. This is from the original run with 2 QQ pops

Q: Did you beat the 1st floor Sabotender Rampart?

On the 1st floor we beat the Sabotender and the Rampart
    ---

Q: Can you tell us the order you killed everything on the 6th floor?

There wasn't any special order, it was kind of random...
    1Gear???Rampart???3Gear???3Gear???1Gear, something like that

    ---

Q: Did you usually take stuff out of the treasure boxes?

Yes, we usually would. But on the 3rd floor? The moment the NM was defeated, I was Warped and couldn't take anything.
    ---

Q: Did you kill all the Treants that were summoned by the Rampart? Would it keep calling them until nothing else came out?

We killed the Treants that popped. But out of those two Ramparts, only one tree popped.
    ---

Q: Hi, I'm Air from Air's Museum. blah blah I want info for my site

? We defeated all Ramparts and everything that they summoned. (1st Floor - Sabotender; 4th Floor - Funguar, Crabs, 5th Floor - various stuff; 6th floor - Treants)

They popped right when we defeated the Treant, so it's tough to say if the Ramparts have any effects on the trigger. They didn't pop simply by beating all the Ramparts.

Unless you kill stuff on the 4th floor, you'll have little chance of fighting monsters that pop from the Ramparts.

On the 6th floor, we didn't open the door to the Warp room, even after defeating everything. (If you open it, 2 more monsters will pop)

? We killed everything on floors 5 and 6.

Killing Ramparts and their reinforcements BEFORE opening doors is really standing out to me now... I'm going to try this tonight, provided we have enough time.

We should have time, but we sometimes cut it close, depending on how much we need to farm Floor 1.

We did that on our runs.

If anything, mimic their run mob-by-mob, and see if you can reproduce it.

Re: Salvage - Arrapago Remnants - thread 2

I think I'd need a second and third MNK for that maybe, which I don't have... I don't see otherwise how clearing 85-90% of Floor 1 and all of Floor 4 (save flayers), 5 and 6 is feasible...

Are you sure you didn't open a door on Floor 1 before killing the Rampart - or even opening the door to pop the Chariot before killing all the 5th Floor Ramparts on Floor 5? Did you kill the Nippers on Floor 4, all before opening the door? Did Ramparts always die before their Reinforcements?

Killing so many random mobs seems fairly baseless and arbitrary... There's something specific about what they did that popped it, and I don't think killing 32 Qutrubs is the key.

If it's not the rampart/door thing, lol theory time.

    123 mobs killed... 123 are sequential digits, so maybe 12, 23, 34, 45, 56, 67, 78, 89... also work for numbers of mobs killed...

    1+2+3 = 6... Sixth Floor... 6, 15, 24, 33, 42, 51, 60, 105, 114, 123, 132 would work... Possibly 69, 78, 87, 96... as those added together (i.e. 69 ? 6+9) equal 15, which becomes 1+5=6.

    1x2x3 = 6... Sixth Floor... 16, 23, 32, 61, 116, 123, 132... not likely, doesn't give many opportunities.

They key flaw in this are the Lamia Elementals. Very few people actually "kill" them... they usually just kill the Lamia SMN and let the elementals vanish... unclear they count towards the total.

    If they don't count, 121 mobs... 121 = 11².. so in maybe killing 0, 1, 4, 9, 16, 25, 36, 49, 64, 81, 100, 121, 144... mobs would work...

And yes, I realize some of those numbers would be impossible to test, they're just lol theories.

Re: Salvage - Arrapago Remnants - thread 2

Possibly... maybe tonight I'll try and hold the rampart until it pops the corresponding seasonal tree...

Last run, it spawned two treants, one had pink leaves, and I didn't notice on the other one... The game date was March 11th, which is technically winter - but might count as spring if SE divides the seasons as "Dec, Jan, Feb = Winter; Mar, Apr, May = Spring; Jun, Jul, Aug = Summer; Sept, Oct, Nov = Autumn"

Still waiting for Julian to verify he indeed killed all Ramparts and Reinforcements (in that order) before opening any doors... if he can confirm that, I'll skip killing all Ramparts and just hold out for the seasonal treant.

Can anyone give me a quick crash course on what each seasonal treant looks like, and which season it goes with?

I've noticed one with pink, flowered leaves, and I assume that goes with summer... the completely bare one, I assume goes with winter... I haven't noticed any other treants yet.

As far as I know, the rampart will always pop the tree matching the current season.

    Spring = pink leaves
    Summer = Green leaves
    Fall = orange leaf(?)
    Winter= no leaves

That's what has me thinking about that... they may have just gotten lucky with the correct treant popping...
