What I find odd is they are spending an average of 1-2 minutes on QQTHs. How the FUCK are they killing the 3rd Floor QQTH so fast? They only have 1 BLM, and sometimes it looks like they don't have any BLMs. Are we missing something? lol
Average time engaged is not average time the mob is claimed or being fought, and it's only a reading of whoever keeps track of it, which just means the person keeping track of it is someone who engages when the QQTH stops, and disengages when it runs away. That's how I see it. They could even be the person who goes to the porter to pull it, and waits there to port up, and then the average time engaged just means they spend double that on 4F QQTH. Also, with Feint on QQTH lasts like 30sec to any amount of melee over 3 if it stays still.

Edit: The original mob list and times thing they posted also said 0s for 4 wyverns right? Just means he didn't engage those.

If you have a RDM/BLM and give him the sub cell the QQTH will die fast like that

Yup, the trick to killing 3F QQTH fast is ES+Gravity.

We always give our BLM/RDM the SJ cell from the starting chest, and the 3rd ability cell that drops.

2F QQA also tends to drop feet cells a lot, so having MNKs with Herald's Gaiters is also helpful.

I also like to land frost and rasp on the QQTH before ES+Gravity is over, and bio2 if i have time.

You can land it without ES also, but it's a lot more hit/miss. I'd say we get it to land around 30% of the time we fight just with full merits + no weapon + no gear on our RDM. Not reliable, but we always try and when it hits we save some time.

You can land it 70% of the time without ES by spamming doton.

Seriously though, there also seems to be something in its AI that it shifts to 'melee mode' from 'run away' mode if you do enough damage in a short enough period of time. If I nuke it as it runs by and it lands, it'll stop, kill me, and by then the others have done enough damage to where it just seems to hang out until it's pretty low, then runs off for a bit, then they finish it the next time it stops. Although I'm liking the ES-gravity idea better haha.

I believe its similar to the fleeing imp. Every time he runs away, hate resets. If you wait a bit, and perform an action on it, you get hate back and it'll attack you again since you're now on the hate list. Doubt its something as "much damage in small amount of time", since even Bio can pull hate in these situations.

Actually, it seems a lot more like how Suiram is saying than SS 3F Imp. There are times when I pull where it will start running and keep running without stopping all the way to the start and Flash, Stun, Chi don't make it stop at all. That happens very rarely though since most of the time we get a large chunk of damage in @start and it pretty much dies after 1 or 2 run + stops where it starts coming back to us after stopping.

Well, he's odd in either case. When I solo him, he usually runs, which I let him do since its easier to just stay in the tele room and wait for him to come back and DoT him again when it wears off. When I go as group though, we usually pull both Astrologer and QQTH with AM2 or Tier IV spells. Makes him run to the BLM and throw in a hit or two, and then starts running. At that point, a Bio II, or a simple hit usually makes him run a few steps, and then turn to run back to attack whatever just casted on him. Sure, there are those times where he refuse to stop anywhere except start and end (on 4th floor), but its tends to be more rare then him running back too whatever just hit him/hurt him. Third floor imp usually need a few seconds before he can be fetched back again, and I've noticed QQTH seem to be the same. Can't claim him right as he starts running, but need a few "run away in fear" moments before he turns around again.

Forgive me for the slight derail, but I have a quick question. Are there any type of requirements for getting Archaic Chariot to drop in this zone? We have a horrible track record with this NM and I'm simply at a loss for words at this point, just wondering if there's something we're supposed to be doing that we're not lol

    51 Archaic Chariots killed
    3 Enlil's Kolluks
    1 Freya's Ledelsens
    0 Hikazu Hakama

    95% of the time we have Treasure Hunter 2~4 present, whether that helps or not o.o;

That's about 10%, which seems below average, but certainly not awful.

Chariot seems to have a fairly good drop rate from what I've seen... runs I've been on:

    Qiqirn Treasure Hunter: (Macha's Coat)
    1-20: no drop

    Qiqirn Astrologer: (Deimos's Cuirass)
    1: no drop
    2: Deimos's Cuirass (Berdysh)
    3-14: no drop
    15: Deimos's Cuirass (Ailill)
    16: Deimos's Cuirass (Tiberon)
    17: no drop
    18: Deimos's Cuirass (Talonx)
    19-20: no drop

    Psycheflayer: (Macha's Crown)
    1-13: no drop

    Deviate Bhoot: (Deimos's Mask)
    1-2: no drop

Archaic Chariot: (Hizaku Hakama, Freya's Ledelsens, Enlil's Kolluks)
    1-4: no drop
    5: Hikazu Hakama (Francisco)
    6: Freya's Ledelsens (Tiberon)
    7: no drop
    8: Freya's Ledelsens (Xan)
    9-10: no drop
    11: Freya's Ledelsens (Raleg)
    12: Hikazu Hakama (Arowyn)

Re: Salvage - Arrapago Remnants - thread 2

choko and friends just popped the 6F THs again

someone go discover the secreat already, i think its pretty obvious they cut down lotsa things and seem more visible of pop condition now.

this time he seem to say he killed alot of qubtubs and might be 1 of the key.

He also highlighted the time used to kill the mobs he thinks are the side conditions to pop it

edit: after translating, doesnt seem much info from past 2 run actually, except they kill things faster -_- And they still killed all machinery + reinforcements + all available reinforcements in the route they took(AGAIN).

I guess i need another people to kill fast. 6 is too tight for me i guess ; ; seem to run out of time at 6F ;\

Re: Salvage - Arrapago Remnants - thread 2

Have they ruled out the 10 minute warning as a pop condition? If they have popped the QQTHs 4 times, was each successful pop after killing a treant, or have they tried killing the ramparts first then doing the gears or saving one gear for last?

My group isnt large enough to replicate what they do either...
