Also, why on earth are you giving monks SJ and Abilities if they aren't getting weapons? They're not going to pull hate without them.

Since we spend less time on 1F we can hit and kill every NM in the zone, unlike before when we tried to get everyone their magic/weapon/HP. I always feel that 1F is a waste of time, mobs in higher levels drop more.
My group spends lots of time on 1F farming and we always hit everything.
Last run we did all NMs (Bhoot side) plus boss and card NM. Had 8 people, I think.

I find 30-40 mins..depending on luck MORE than enough for the first floor to seriously pimp people out.....with ability, weapon, magic It really speeds you up later and is worth it...

    QQA Only floor..

2 QQTH + bhoot or psyche only floor....

    Chariot + QQA..

    Clear all gears..

    Boss..

So pretty mcuh only 1st and 6th floors = time spent

You don't even farm dup cells on the 4th floor?

When I take my group to arrapago, we usually spend 30-35 min on the 1st floor, clear SW room of the 2nd floor + QQA, clear 1st room on the 3rd floor while I run to the porter (skipping QQTH), kill all the gears on the 4th floor for dup cells and sometimes farm opa/prae as necessary before killing bhoot/flayer and QQTH, chariot + QQA only on 5th floor, start clearing 6th floor. We usually time out midway thru the 6th floor or get to the boss w/ 1-2 minutes remaining, which is fine since we're not aiming to kill the chariot, but if I could speed things up enough to include the boss and maybe 3F QQTH, that would be nice.

What would you recommend for my group then? Skip farming on 2F and don't farm anything on 4F?

Also, we sometimes have some trouble w/ Bhoot w/ 6-8 ppl, especially if he uses perdition early on -- any advice on that? Group makeup is usually WHM MNK/NINx2 THF RDM BRD NIN and maybe 1 more person.

#1 Farm as much as you need...it sucks some day (30-50minutes depending of the gay leve)
#2 kill both lamia since you probably need more magic/ja. Qiqirn after
#3 Send a rdm or blm asap to portal, bio the qiqirn and send it to melee (melee clear first room, save tp and rape it). If they lose it, they clear the 2nd room while rdm send it back a 2nd time
#4 Farm a second subjob for the tanks if we have a whm, if not, farm one for the rdm/whm. Kill qiqirn, kill bhoot
#5 Clear first room, avoid what you can in 2nd (usually end up killing both rampart), someone open the door. Pull and fight chariot, then run back to qiqirn

That's what we do. If we will ever go after the mega, might skip bhoot and/or 5th floor qiqirn on a bad day. Could probably speed up 5th floor as well, but im not sure how. Have someone hurry up to door, pop everything, then logout/unagro rampart?

We kill mobs for SJ on the 5th floor...the 4 gears? in the way of getting to QQA ....3 in first room one in second..only really care about SJ for tanks and a /WHM........usually only need 2 more and get them np in 4 gears

4th floor I don't bother.....if we don't get the drops from first 4 gears on 5th floor....we just pull some in the room with the rampart...why kill 4th floor ones, unless you think you need SJ for one of the NMs..thats only reason I could see

I forget to say 5th floor = some time too chariot takes a copule of mins..but again its under 10 mins on average for us on 5th floor....6th and 1st are by far longest time...........

We kill the single gears in way to QQA like 4....serves dual purpose..meanwhile we send 1 person to open the door which pops the QQAA and Chariot.....then we kill QQAA and sneak past the rampart with sneak/invis....pull chariot (sometimes sac), have a person at porter after chariot dies

Wait...are you telling me sneak/invi works on rampart? I was sure they were true sight lol... >_> Gonna save some time that way

If we want to be nitpick, floor #6 takes less than 10min to clear Every gears/sj come from that place tho

Thats true too, I suppose if i had my pens and paper at work with me that show how long it takes us per floor on salvage runs (i track that >.>) I could give a more accurate answer!

And yeah Ramparts are sneak/invis aggro....gears are true sight but can be avoided pretty easily.

Re: Salvage - Arrapago Remnants - thread 2

We are doing arra runs with only 6-7. Pt make up usually: mnk mnk drk drk rdm whm thf. Have encountered a few problems only with killing the 3F QTH, what we have be doin is this: Sneak/invis past first 2 rooms, then kill all the rest til the QTH, a few times the QTH has ran all the way back to the 2 rooms with mobs still.. which is not good. My question is this, for a small group, should we be giving the SJ cell stolen from QA to the rdm/blm so he can grav it, or try
Send a rdm or blm asap to portal, bio the qiqirn and send it to melee (melee clear first room, save tp and rape it). If they lose it, they clear the 2nd room while rdm send it back a 2nd time
2nd option seems interesting and that it could save alot of time on 3F not killing much.

you should be killing mobs in all rooms up except the huge long room before 3F TH so you have more space for TH

if your doing 3F S route, that may actually give you a chance of extra weapon cell and a 99% magic cell drop off 2 psychflayers

good route since your group gotta need tonnes of magic cell

and your group have 2 monks, i guess best farming route for you in 1F will be SE and NE > warp NE

if your unlucky on ability cells, youo may wanna run to NW and kill the 2 RNG mob.

Magic cell wise,1F SE NE, 2F BRD merrow and 3F mobs should cover everyone

Re: Salvage - Arrapago Remnants - thread 2

Is it possible the pop condition is Dependant on the route you take?

The one time they didn't pop the Treasure Hunters, they farmed extra Draugars on first floor instead of Qutrubs. So is it at all possible that if you take North route on third floor, it counts the amount of Skeletons killed, while South route counts the amount of Qutrubs killed? All of the runs it popped on, they took Psycheflayer NM.

So possibly, one of the triggers could simply be kill 30 mobs of the appropriate "type", and then a secondary condition of something like "Kill all ramparts" to explain the oddities of people having done it before and still not popping it.

It seems like the number of archaic gear and gears don't count, as they killed the exact same amount of machinery each time. The first 3 successful pops, they killed 123, 120 and 117 mobs respectively. The unsuccessful one, they killed 117. So the total amount killed don't seem to matter. However, the unsuccessful one they killed 19 Qutrubs and 27 Draugars.

    edit: Treasure Hunters, not Astrologers

astrologers are always there in 2F, and if they farm chariot, astrologer should also pop in 5F

its just that they didnt go kill 2F Astrologers that first time they pop the THs

Off Air's Museum on how to pop 6th floor rats, he has this in gray so it is unconfirmed.
    1?(1)?4?(2)?5?(3)?6?(2)???6??????????????????????? ???2????POP????????
    ?1?…???or???10??????????POP???????????????????
    ?4?…?????????????????????????
    ?5?…?????????1????????2???????????????1????????? ??2????????
    ?6?…2???????2?????6????????????POP???2????????

To make it simple, kill all the summoned NMs from each rampart on the 1st/4th/5th/6th floor.
    1st floor - Kill Sabotender
4th floor - Crabs on south route, Funguar & Marlboro on north route
5th floor - Octopus and fish on south route, Mandoragora and Goobbue on north route
6th floor - Both treants. The popped doors after initial doors are down do not matter.

No idea if this is true. Anyone free to verify?

    i am still guessing:

    1.kill all machinery
    AND
2.kill at least 1 summon from all possible reinforcement available in the route you take

i still cant do it with my NA group -_- too much mobs for us to make it in time 6 people

Do people still think it's something as simple as clearing all machinery? It's been done already, and if it is a machinery condition, it's more specific than just kill everything.

Tonight if everyone shows up I'm entering with:

    MNK x2
    WAR x2
    THF x2
    WHM x2
    RDM x2
    BLM
    BRD

We should be people rip through the entire zone, clearing exactly what the QQTH group did the first time, but a little faster. Gonna try to get the boss down as well since we should more than be able to.
