We killed a nerfed LBC in about 6m.. MNK, WAR, 2NIN, THF, 2BLM. BRD no SV, COR, RDM, WHM. Took others down in less then 10m as well and our group never has more then one Monk. With 2MNKs and 2SAM you should easily be able to destroy Chariots in no time at all. I, only MNK, always 2hr at start and again if I find a Revitalizer. Never seen BLMs pull hate off me and I'm sure they nuke hard in zerg mode but they are definately not the reason we kill so fast.
Also, I have never used Meat on Bosses before in our 6-10m kills until last night. Only used meat because we had a Cor who gave us Hunter's roll. The only time I ate meat w/o mad/hunter's on a boss I whiffed a fuck ton and my MNK is pure Acc build and 7 h2h merits. I just prefer Sushi/March/Minuet, I don't get how people don't miss a ton with Meat but maybe I just missed something or wasn't unlocked that one time, idk.
Wow your MNK kind of fails.
I've done mnk/nin X2, thf/nin, brd/whm, rdm/whm X2, killed 2nd floor QA, 3F Q TH, 4F TH, 5F Chariot, 6F THX2 and boss, with 15 minutes left, several times. As thief, I do basically jack and shit vs boss. (Sometimes i run in to sa or ta, but this boss is a joke)Originally Posted by Heabea
Well, the idea (at least how I see it) is that yes, you miss more, but since each attack does more you end up doing around the same amount of damage. It evens out with the added benefit of the boss using less TP moves on you.Originally Posted by Judai
If TP moves aren't a worry in your group, then Sushi is superior (I think Sushi actually does a little more, but idk for sure).
yeah slott we do a similar run too, killing 2 qq astros, 1 th, ghosty(we never do psycheflayer cuz atm we have more ppl interested in ares head, and i being one of the morrigan's ppl don't care for head lol), and both chariots, makes for a fun run, specially when 2 35ers and 2 25ers drop... and of course everyone gets their share of ANUS GAITERS!
at this point the only boss we don't have 100% mastered is LAC, we had AC and BCC owned the first time we met them, LAC we kill but it's not pretty at all, altho we've only done LAC twice, but more demand since we've gotten most stuff from other chariots by now
Yea, I understand why people do it like that. I just think, unless you get an Acc Song/Roll then Sushi is better for Zerg, as you want to deal the damage quickly. Usually our zergs are a TP spam fest anyways because we throw people at it. If we actually have to take our time then I'm in full Subtle Blow gear and hitting Chi Blast every 3m for Penance and TP moves come slowly. I still like Sushi more as I feel it helps me hold hate better and I lose some Acc by adding gear for SB/Def. We usually don't have many people on the Chariots unless we are in zerg mode anyways, so I never had problems with shadows or TP moves.Originally Posted by Wizerd
If you get an Acc song/roll then Meat Destroys Sushi though, I am definately going to use Meat for our zergs from now on. Different Strats for Different people though. Point is, find something that works for you and roll with it.

It's fairly easy, we used to struggle, because we used to sneak invis around alot. F that, just cost us time.
Starting chest: 1 weap to monk1, ja to monk 1, magic to rdm, weapon 2 to thief, sj to thief, ja2 to monk 2, melee get armor stuff first, bard gets 2nd magic/first ranged
Floor 1: Clear out north west (3 qutrubs > lamia blm in hallway, lamia blm + 3 quts >(qutrub hallway here? i think) lamia rng + 3 quts, then just pull the lamia from last room, skip the 3 quts) Should provide a weapon (or hopefully more) couple hat cells...gear up your melee then rdms
Proceed south, towards south west, clear the 4 qutrubs (Remember to dispel) Kill lamia smn, and pull only lamia corsair (can kill more quts if your melee really need more weaps - mages can get them from qiqirn later - Head east to skeletons. Clear first skeleton room, kill the north hallway skeleton + lamia from first north east room, head back south to first skeleton room, and clear out south east (Or as much of it as you need to), port up south east. Floor 1 would take roughly 27-35 minutes.
Floor 2: Kill both lamia (or the sam one only if you dont need more magic - ja is important for bard and rdms too) Save tp - proceed to kill qiqirn astrolager
Floor 3: Thf + Rdm (or if we have a blm, the blm rdm and thf sneak invis north) to qiqirn treasure hunter, bard, rdm, mnk mnk stay at zone in and get tp (kill skeletons/lamia if still need any cells) Start fight on QQ TH (if have blm, open with am2, otherwise, thf engages, does as much dmg as possible, rdm keeps dots on) It runs back and forth blah blah blah, TH dies - After QQ TH is dead, port up.
Floor 4: Go straight for QQ TH lvl 4, if you really feel like it, kill a few gears for SJ. Typically I don't even bother if I managed to steal one off astrolager on 2nd floor.
Floor 5: Clear first room of 3 gears, the gear in the way to astrolager, and the 2 gears + rampart. Try for at least 3 sj's (One for a monk, 1 for a redmage, if get more than 2, 2nd monk then 2nd rdm, then bard) - Open door, pull chariot, kill chariot. (We skip the astrolager because nobody needs deimos - or we could fit that in easily) Save TP towards the death of chariot (or more gears if you plan to kill them - see next). If time is still good, kill a few more gears for sj's, otherwise you'll get them on 6F. Proceed to portal with everyone. Redmages do fresh buffs on everyone, and stoneskin. Haste melees, soulvoice sing minuet march. I teleport up to 6F (I'm the thief)
Floor 6: Proceed east, grab a gear, hold gear in place, 1 monk ws's, i TA Ws, gear dies. Bard pulls like a lunatic. Aim for ramparts as soon as possible. 1 monk 100f first rampart, other monk 100F second rampart. Helps to have a bard with troubadour to ensure soul voice lasts the longest time possible.Ensure one monster is always in camp slept, if need be, I help pull - my bards are good though and typically I don't have to. Important notes - try to WS triple gears early, or rail cannon does a shitload of damage. If you did it well, you will pop both TH (The one that runs east dropped machas for us, so im assuming that's the morrigan one, and the one that runs west is for ares)- we kill both anyway.
Floor 7: Start boss fight. Positioning is everything. We position in such a way that our bard can sing to the monks without being in AOE range, and so that the bard songs will hit mages and melee seperately.
End with 15 minutes
Thanks =D
Do you get all your gear subjobs in 6th floor?
And what songs your brd do while going up and what vs megaboss?
Thats virtually the exact route/strat I use Slott with some variation on the 3rd floor.
How long does the 3rd floor usuaally take you with that strat? Does the rdm follow the QQ and keep DoT on it?: Every time we have done it like that and leave our melees at the start point either:
a. the TH comes back to the blm/rdm like 40 times until they die.
b. It runs back to the melee but doesnt stop and all and melees barely get a hit off.
Ive resigned to just having a rdm sub blm and ES gravity it so its dead before it can even run off.
Any suggestions?
Well, since we take 2 redmages, one dots it at each end.
We farm some SJ's on 5th floor (The 6 gears + a few if necessary near chariot)
Also, having SJ helps on the 6th floor to clear it in under 7 minutes, so lately we've been farming sj's for everyone between 4th and 5th (But we've done it skipping 4 all together, and most of 5)
My redmages SJ whm for the boss, so we have no ES grav, typically takes 10 minutes (and the melees farm more cells while TH is at the starting side)
Your blackmages and redmages shouldnt be dying to TH, it's not too bad to kite, and redmage should be able to keep the blackmage healed - Also I noticed it helps to have a melee with the mages, After it ran off on initial aggro (only me and redmage there) It kept returning and I basically duod it with the redmage.
Song: Min march. If we get 2 bards, min min, march march. Our fastest clear on 6f was 4 minutes 12 seconds with brd brd mnk mnk thf rdm in 1 pt, and rdm in 2nd pt.
Bards own.
I always use meat, and min/march songs onry.
ditto. always in salvage, no exceptions. works very well for us.Originally Posted by aurik

There is no Ares's one. It's been a good while now and still no one has provided proof of any QQTH dropping a Deimos's Cuirass. I do believe both East and West 6F QQTHs have been seen to drop Macha's Coat though.Originally Posted by Slott
Yep, someone compiled the stats on everyones QQTH's , before 6f was discovered to truly have QQs, and the Macha's Coat rate was in fact half the rate of Ares body when it came to Drop %.Originally Posted by Wizerd
2 astrologers 5% each
2 Treasure Hunters came to be 2.5~% each
now add another 2 TH's that have 2.5% between them and you have an evened up pool of 5%/5% on drops.
Personally they shoulda just went 3/3 and bumped their rates a little.
We've adapted this strategy a bit to force the QQTH to come back to the teleporter room most of the time. If your 1 mage you leave at the teleporter stays in the QQTH's room he will often turn around, come back and kick your ass. If however your blm or rdm is in the corner of the hallway he will not. What we do is leave 1 dot'r at the Original Teleporter and send everyone to QQTH's room. As soon as QQTH leaves the room we all move to the NE corner of the room and quite often the QQTH will run off, then turn around and come back until he's dead and never even make it to the original tele. You should be able to face north and /ta <bt> to target the QQTH and find out when he has turned around or if he's going all the way to the other tele.Originally Posted by Neosutra
On 3rd floor, I usually send a BLM to teleport and engage with Thunder4 + bio (easy to land both, since qiqirn has to engage you to attack, and he wont take his weapon out until thunder animation end). The blm then hide in South west corner of the room (as far as he can from the large room to avoid getting aggro back through wall) and wait there. During that time, melee farms the first 4 skeleton, save tp on last mobs, get acc song and wait for the qiqirn. If they have hermes quencher, they pop it at that time.
Rdm try to land grav once the qiqirn is there (works sometime), and everyone there zerg it with everything they habe beside 2h. If the qiqirn didnt stop, we just repeat that a 2nd time to finish it (takes 4-5more minutes).
I wonder if the blm logging out could help the qiqirn to stop on the other side?
I can confirm this, we just got 2 deimos and 1 macha's in 1 runOriginally Posted by Lordwafik
Sorry to brag but this zone used to make me die a little inside every time i zoned in.
Is anyone compiling moon phase/enter day etc for this zone? If so firesday, 57% last quarter moon. Had TH3 for all drops.
