Father's Day is coming...Help please.

Need help finding something, my dad wants a Braveheart Full Screen DVD, obviously this is not easy to find (for me at least). It needs to be NTSC region 1? I guess, if that's the type that most DVDs are in the US. Yes I know, it's outdated. I do not like Ebay, and I would prefer "New."

Is there any website I should look on for this sort of thing?

region 1 is the country that the dvd player and dvd are made for.

region 1 programmed dvds only play on region 1 players, unless the player is modded to play other regions.

According to Wikipedia:

Region 1: Bermuda, Canada, the Cayman Islands, United States and U.S. territories

Region 2: The Middle East, Western Europe, Central Europe, Egypt, French overseas territories, Greenland, Japan, Lesotho, South Africa and Swaziland

I did a bit of poking around, but it seems all you can find in the Region 2 format is PAL, Widescreen, and "Special Edition" (whatever that means).

Or you could go the other way and get him a widescreen TV to go along with the DVD. I dare him to complain about it after seeing Braveheart in its proper format.

Haha, thanks for the suggestions.

He's old and hard headed, he thinks anything wide screen = lose top and bottom parts of the picture and full screen = the whole picture. Don't ask, I don't know.
