XP scrolls! that's how i do it! the sacrarium quest can easily be done with any job that can sneak (or you can use silent oils if you're not cheap like me) without fighting a single monster. getting a dragon scale will allow you to complete the "spice gals" quest for yet another xp scroll, as well as having fun in an ENM/uninvited guests. finally, rock your way thru cn for an escort quest to get yourself a third xp scroll (easily soloed by just about any melee job, bst, /bst, smn, or /smn.) each scroll is good for 750-1500 xp, so with an average value of 1114 xp per scroll, and 3 scrolls a week, you can net almost 3500 xp a week, allowing you to ding every other week for almost no work.

Mirrors, NMs, attacking the parade...Are we even sure stopping the advancing horde doesn't award the same exp/IS?

Only mega bosses and leaders affect EXP/IS (even then those are just bonuses), the rest is determined by your actions (you can just use Instant Reraise to get a small reward).

Yeah, like Nara said, our server is loaded with Besieged fanatics, so we never lose. I love Besieged myself, and make it when I can, but usually have other things going on.

I had a RDM leave an amazing 2x Ridill/Adaberk WAR + BB/Togi+1 MNK + incredibly good BRD PT, to attend a fucking besieged. Never seen the point, or the fun, in this event :/

Compare it to Conquest (since it is its counterpart). If your nation is sucking, you will generally have a rough time in the Middle Lands (with the exception of certain equipment). Besieged is needed for you to use non-Assault runic portals, for your Sanction bonuses, obtain crystals with Sanction, and other stuff which I can't think of.

If a lack of the Astral Candescence also stopped Colibri Feathers and Beaks from dropping I would pack it up and give it to the first beastman that happened by.
