    BC40 Help

I am looking at doing BC40 (Peacock) in either all BLM pt or RDM, NIN, NIN (me being RDM) pt and was wondering what stats/skills I should look to boost to maximize my effectiveness. Ele & Enfeeb aren't on much equip so what should I look for next?

Stonega II helps on all BLM setup. Other than that Yag drink maybe and standard equipment will get you thru it.

Not too difficult in either situation, just wear standard gear. Random note, RDM's resist petrify trait kicks in noticeably in this BC; you'll notice yourself coming out of Breakga before your NINs so be prepared.

Stonega II may help, but it is not an absolute necessity. I do not have it and have done this BC about 40 times and it has never been an issue (unless having it increases drop rate of the freaking charm--0/40 ><).

Only thing is, ff you do not have it and are doing it with others who do you may want them to wait a bit before they use it or they risk grabbing hate.

Never done the BLM method, but NIN NIN RDM is very easy.

Just wear normal RDM gear, I assume you know how to kite, and if your NINs can count to 4 and follow the wheel correctly it should be no problem.

To note, I've done this many times with a naked RDM, that's how easy it is (and how cheap he is ^^)

Same strat as every all-blm setup.

    Nuke-ga, sleep-ga, repeat.

The Eyes do not sleep. Method is:

Buff (incl blink, aquaveil, barfira) go up to edge of circle, turn around, -ga nuke until eyes are dead. Takes about 2 minutes. I would say I have something like a 98% success rate with this method. Have lost when one blm pulls too much hate and drops quick, and have died when the eyes have moved in front of the three of us after the first round of nukes and break-ga'd us. But many more wins than losses.

    But no stinking pcc!

How many Stonega II/Thundaga volleys does it take to bring them down usually, I might try this next time.

    Re: BC40 Help

we always did ours, 2 naked nin/blm's and a naked rdm/whm

never enguaged or anything just stood there with our backs turned wheeling elemental and utusu

rdm pulls the big one and we cast on the small ones we picked prior to the pull for hate. once their dead everyone meets up and nukes the big one bouncing hate and staying away from each other so only one person is breakgad at a time.

when the big eye is at like 10% one person can run to the chest while the others finish it off

As I said, I do not have Stonega II, so I just go Thundaga-Blizzaga-Firega-Aeroga then back to Thundaga. By this time you are down to one eye and usually after the second Thundaga he is toast.

Make sure you have Drain and Cure2 macroed. You may have to throw one or both if things start to go bad.

And by the way, I have done this with Elvaan and Hume (I am Taru) and no one has ever been in danger of running out of mp. Drink a yag before your first nuke and you will have no worries.

One other thing-try to start your nukes using the game clock. After running up to the circle and turning around someone pick a time to start and start nuking at that time. As long as all three of you start at the same time hate will not fall all on one person.

    Good luck!

Good thing you mentioned that, wasn't sure if this was with or without manafont.

If I can find some BLM friends to do this with me I'll definitely use this method, NIN NIN RDM setup is effective but the fights take much longer (~10 mins usually) and when you're blowing 15 runs worth of seals it can take a really long, boring time.
