Driving home the week after my Finals for Spring Quarter, this Cop down by OSU Campus pulled my friend & I over when we were probably doing like 50 in a 45, in all seriousness we weren't speeding. He pulls us over walks up and just busts out "Ya been drinkin' tonight!" (In all actuality we were on our way to a party,lol and hadn't had a drop) Nonetheless, the straight accusation really pissed my friend off...He got quite mouthy with the Cop, whom shortly let us go after realizing we were sober (atm)

Last year I hit up a happy hour after work with my fiance and her parents. I think I had three Guinness in me on an empty stomach when her parents got the call that her grandfather had a stroke or something. So my girlfriend is all shaken up, and asks me to drive her to her grandpa's house. Fuck.

So I take her...going as fast as I can without getting pulled over because I'm definitely buzzing. We're hitting every goddman red light along and way, and she starts to panic more and more, as this might be the last time she'll ever get to see her grandpa.

Finally, at an intersection, I hit another red light, and I decide to take a shortcut across a corner parking lot to get to the road on my right. To be honest, it's the first time I've ever done an illegal cut-through like that. Sure enough, a cop is sitting there and I get pulled over. I was scared shitless, especially since I had a few beers in me, and it was the first time I had ever been pulled over for anything.

The cop walks up, and I ready my license, registration, and insurance cards. He gets to my window, and that's when the fiance just turns on the water works...massively. The cop didn't know what to do, she was freaking out so hard. I calmly explained I cut through because her grandfather had just had a stroke, and we were trying to get to his place as quickly but safely as possible. He asked us where he lived, what hospital he was being sent to, and then radioed dispatch to make sure we weren't lying. After a stern warning he let us go after realizing that we weren't lying and we didn't have time to be written a bullshit ticket.

I joke with my fiance now that she got me out of that ticket. Hehe.

I got into a car accident today too.My SUV rammed into this tiny car at the stop light...the guy got out and surprisingly he was a dwarf. He said "I'm not happy" and I asked, "Then which one are you?"

My insurance company is not helping me at all. Unbeknown to me, I am currently on my mothers plan( I knew this part ) but she had the car in her name and did not register me under a driver. They flat up said "You're fucked." (Srsly.) I never hit anyone, the guy hit me. I am going to go to my uncles house and barrow his digital camera tomorrow and I'll post some pictures. I drive a 4door, he hit me in the middle of my back door ALLLLLL the way froward. I mean I am glad the guy didn't die but fucking A man. My ticket they gave me says "improper usage of lanes" for swerving. I was at a complete stop when hit. so its not like I pulled out in front of this guy.

Im shitting bricks right now and srsly stressing out. Thank you for the quick replys. I have never even been pulled over let alone got into a wreck so honestly I have no idea what to do. I have about 400$ right now to my name, so getting a layer is really out of the question. I dont want to put myself in more debt.

Sorry if you have obtained any solution to this, but in case not, just to let you know about insurance law and regulations (I am an agent). Unless you yourself are specifically listed and excluded from your mother's policy, her insurance company is obligated to cover for the loss to others for your driving her vehicle (you still have to pay the deductible for repairs though); but her company is obligated since its your mom's vehicle due to your mom's vicarious liability obligations as long as:
a. You are a student (college, or w/e), under 24 and considered to still be financially dependent upon her
b. Under 18 and living at home reguardless if you are a student or not.
c. You were not driving in an illegal manner/breaking the law when the accident occurred (does not sound like it)

If you are being told there is no coverage by anyone specifically, find out names/position, normally when you try to file a claim, the person you speak with is nothing more than an answering monkey with a computer, their job is just to get the information, and pass it on to the actual claims professional(the adjuster), so make sure you get to talk to an adjuster. If you are having a hard time about it, have your mom contact her insurance agent, it is/was that agent's fiduciary responsibility to make sure that your mom has/had the proper protection for her vehicles and to ensure of anyone else that maybe/is driving her vehicles is properly insured. So what that means is, if all else fails, you can always pursue your mother's insurance agent/company for legal compensation for your losses that you will incur from your responsibility/injuring the motorcyclist (last resort, try to avoid if possible).

I am over the age of 18, and had graduated a few years ago. I had a girl who hit my car last year try to get money out of me 6 months after it occured saying she suffered long term injury (i won this case). So...maybe find a way to tie ends up as to save your backside if any litigation were to ensue.

I was in a 5 or so car pile-up on the freeway over 2 years ago and I haven't heard a fucking thing about it aside from me giving my end of the story to everyone's lawyers like 4 months ago. Our system is fucked when it takes 2 years for them to even contact you about an accident. Don't be shocked when there's no correspondance for months on end. It's so shitty to have crap like this looming over your head for so long.

My car's rear light fuses go out alot, especially if I go over a bump or some shit and I've gotten pulled over 4 times for it so far...but have never gotten a ticket. I always get SO scared when it happens and look like I'm about to cry and get all shaky. But yeah, never gotten a ticket for it. 8)

Othellajr speaks the truth. There are no ends for Senoska to tie up with the guy, it'll all be handled by his mothers insurance company. Senoska won't be required to go to court by any means, provided he wasn't drinking and driving.
