Re: Subtle Blow setup on Long-Bowed Chariot?

So, went with mnkx2, rdmx3, brd, blm, blu

Failed killing 6 gears on 4F due to bard messing up pulls. The fight itself, however, was pretty damn funny. 2 monks on body boost, nowhere in the fight were we in danger. 2 homing went off towards the last 5%, but we recovered and have this to show for it:

    LBC sucks ass....

If you want to kill fast, eat meat/sushi, enjoy the damage tanking for pretty high enmity gainrate and fast kill, but don't be surprised when a AoE > triple attack destroy your tank.

People solo tank LBC, duo tank him, or just kite him around too, some people use 2 MNK, some NIN + MNK, other PLD and other tank combo out there, it's really something you gotta experience to actually fine tune shit.

You want other people's experience, read the countless posts in the Bhaflau 1 and 2 thread and the first page of this topic.

Don't keep asking the same damn question, because it gets annoying after a while.

You want research, fine, but if you want us to give strategy that works for your group, it's not gonna happen.

Our last LBC kill had a fucking WHM/WAR and 8 people, there was no death, feel free to emulate that.

Also, I find that rdm/whm works better than whm due to the massive mp pool.

Worthless comparing to almost infinite mp pull and the ability to never have to rest.

I've done rdm brd whm whm, and the whms always run out even with mp boost.

rdm rdm brd, the mp will be enough to last the entire fight and more.

Again, this is the way I do it, your group may do it different, but in my experience, rdms can do the entire fight with no rest.

Either your WHMs truly suck, your RDMs are good...or both.

if anyone is having trouble mnk tanking it I sudjest trying out pld/nins I held hate from 100% to 45% and only lost hate because of a slow erase ; ;(whm was out of mp(from healing the nin and mnk) and the guy who was supposed to cover me for erase was a bit slow >.>)

work well failed once I ate dirt though, trying again tonight!

Yeah, 1 successful fight is all you need to be a LBC pro apparently.

Thing with PLD/NIN is that your offensive power will be pretty close to 0

Considering on straight tank LBC, a good 50% of the damage or more comes from the tank, it leads to slower kill, and that may/may not be an issue depending on how fast your LS does things.

I don't think it'd be much of an issue on LBC though, since if you do 1 rampart > LBC, you'd have 20-30 minutes on LBC.

But on runs like 6 NM arra + AC, or any CC > LAC runs in SS, your time might be a bit shorter.

3 fights since I last posted a question on this topic. Fact of the matter is, what works works. Before you randomly flame people you know nothing about, why don't you try a few different setups before claiming nobody else has any authority in this matter than yourself.

Zomg, you've been playing basketball for 30 years.... but are you better than Lebron James?

    Peace out.

Yea, I'm sure you're Lebron James with your 3 days of experience killing LBC.

Cure5 > Cure4 any day of the week sorry. Especially on something that spams hate reset. This is of course talking about killing it without nerfing missiles, if you nerf missiles than fucking DRK/WHMs can main heal this joke of a chariot.
