and the US & UK release have a different # of pages, could be that it's another page in the other versions.
Source:Scholastic announced today that the US edition of Deathly Hallows will contain 784 pages, making it the second longest book in the series behind OOTP!
As the US versions of the books are published in a larger font and with chapter pictures, this should mean the UK version will be around 700 pages long.
The US version of the book will have an initial print-run of 12 million, and the publisher has also revealed that each of these copies “will be printed on paper that contains a minimum of 30% post-consumer waste (pcw) fiber.”

US Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Harry-Potter-Deat ... 0545029376 (page count is halfway trough)
Comes out the day after the schools break up over here (means none of the kids are gonna get to spoil the ending for me - yay!). Yes I shall probably be going out at midnight to pick up a copy - I know the supermarket round the corner from work is opening at 7am the day of release but the one nearer me is 24 hours.
Yes they're derivative, yes they have ideas pinched from all over the place - but they got a LOT of kids into the idea that books were something that was good to read, and gave a bit of a hook in to get them reading different things from then-on. I've read them mainly for work purposes (they get used a fair bit in extract form to show various points) but also because they're a mildly-entertaining way to kill an afternoon.
I still would rather read Terry Pratchett any day.

Scholastic, the U.S. publisher of the Harry Potter series has obtained a subpoena in the hopes of learning the identify of the culprit who posted scans of pages from the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows book on the web.
We at HPANA have been sent similar items via email of videos and images of the books and they too have been sent to the proper authorities so that the last book in the series is not spoilt for the fans.
http://enjoys.it/wp-content/uploads/...potterexif.pngUh-oh, I fear someone will have a hard day. There has been a leak of the new Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, someone photographed each and every page of the book. Apparently in a rush and without further thinking: If you examine the pictures EXIF data you not only get the time and date but also the camera’s serial number. Should not take the publishing company long to trace this serial (thanks to all the surveillance and bad data retention nowadays). Poor fan, I hope you won’t be treated too bad.

That means absolutely nothing unless he registered his camera with that stupid registration card that comes with every digital device you buy.
Yeah, and the only ones who do that are psychos and grandmas
If someone tried to tell me I had to go to the end of the line I'd punch them right in the mouth.Originally Posted by elphaba
I'll probably have to wait till I get back home to read it /emo
even tho I know the ending lol if you want I can send you it so you can make $ from it XD
nah j/k I wont do that to you
but I have to say it's a nice ending, I wouldnt want it any other way myself (even tho it's quite obvious if you put 1 & 1 toghether)
If that was truly the book, I enjoyed it. Not to get into spoilers, but the book did a nice job of tyeing up the loose ends. I'm still going to buy it the 21st and I'll read it again, cause I've read every book so far twice. I will admit, there was a few plot holes though.
