I didn't miss it. My entire point: If this dude is certain he won't change his job(or at least, focus on other jobs) and really wants that Shield Skill+5(+2 VIT, +5 Divine, whatever) from that earring(no matter how situational) instead of a Suppa better for exp(on PLD/NIN or whatever)... then he isn't an idiot unless he was wrong and does end up regretting it.

If he's going to DD on PLD/NIN, Suppa would be a better choice because while Suppa actually helps you DD, Knight's doesn't do shit for your tanking.
