Edit: nevermind, if you just wait for Raubahn to cast his first spell before voking off of the kiter, you're fine.

Red vs. Blue
THF Feint >> PD >> Flee tag leader and run away.
SAM ruins him.
Win and get a new sig. :D
even with 1600 base, armband, and first time, is it realy that high?
It's real - 3 man win. I can send the rest of the screenshot if you want to see it. :D
I know it's real, just wasn't sure if it was possible to get more than 1600 base on that one.Originally Posted by Alpsyche

Enter with Willow Rod and Fly Lure. (Can kill to get, but easier on time if you enter with)
Check all 4 NPC find the one that whines about paycheck. (try invis for the qirin) Fish near him til he changes his message.
Check all 4 NPC again. We found the one that said "This is the spot!" fished up Oberon.
Killed it. Don't eat the item (apparently Mithra can)
3 man win 1650 reward no band.

Very easy to do with Soboro SAM.
red vs blue seems to have 3 settings after that maintenance on the zone the orginal one, one where black mages advance and split up and 3rd where 3 move up then other 3 follow; on the two new ways they help with boss fight.
P.S. if any1 finds ??? polearm on any of the LC assaults post here or PM(this drg still hoping I don't have to beat einherjar to get new lance)
Wake the Puppet
- Can done more easily if you aggro a bone, set puppet to fight with /hurray, then pull bone as far as possible towards goal. Kill bone if you see another one on the way to be safe.
-> Bones can be grav, bound with no problems.
-> And there is a ton of emotes to use. Will have time to go through entire list by NPC and write them down before you run off.
Automaton /bow = you /kneel
Automaton /point = you /no
Automaton /wave = you /welcome
Automaton /dance = you /joy
Automaton /blush = you /doze
Automaton /salute = you /praise
Automaton /happy = you /smile
Automaton /confused = you /slap
Automaton /shocked = you /comfort
Automaton /praise = you /blush
Automaton /clap = you /angry
Automaton /cheer = you /psych
So people don't have to sit talking to npc at the start
Edit: Already on FFXIclopedia, fail._.
My group has been pretty frustrated by these new assaults.
For Ilrusi Atoll all of us entered with rods and lures and on our bard pulled up the NM Orobon on his first cast. We spent a good chunk of time killing it and it didn't drop anything. We continued to fish near the NPCs based on their messages but we still timed out. We tried again and we timed out. We even split off in to two groups to try and talk to all the NPCs quicker but we still timed out, unable to fish up the NM Orobon.
We also tried Azure Ailments. We broke up into two groups of three people and we were only able to get 4 ailments.
The only one we've managed to win was Red VS. Blue.
Hate to tell you this Miss but...
The fish you need to win that assault is given as a temporary item to the one who killed the Orobon...
Does it show up in the log at all for anyone? I'm pretty sure I told everyone to check their items...
It doesn't give the fish to the person who killed it, it gives it to the person who fished the Orobon up.Originally Posted by Toth

First of all, you need to know mobs use their TP move a lot more under 25% (they use it at 100tp, instead of 300) and that tier 1 nuke give them 10tp every times
We went south first I think, and grabbed one lizard, punched it to death slowly and made it WS something like 10 times before getting the right WS (2nd lizard). Went to raptor on east side after, got it relatively quick. Leech to the north took us a good 10minutes, had to kill 3-4 before seeing any ws. West section has spider and buggard, we got both debuff quickly (3-4 ws on both).
Leech is probably the hardest one to get, since they have something like 10 WS selection.
1 debuff South/East/North. 2 debuff West. Get them down to 25% and punch/tier1 nuke to feed them with tp. I can see trio lose if they are really unlucky, but it's not that bad
Nope. Pretty sure I wasnt the one fishing it, and I got the key (tried eatting it for fun...almost worked). I dont think I'm the one who started the asault either...not sure thoIt doesn't give the fish to the person who killed it, it gives it to the person who fished the Orobon up.

this was very helpful, but not exactly correct.
It seems that the message changes based on the number of mobs fished up then killed. Also the message changes twice. We went to first npc next to the start NPC and started fishing/killing. After about 6 or so mobs, the taru changed message to the "This is the spot" message. We kept fishing for another 6 or so mobs and the message changed again. Now the taru gave a better message "Next to <one of the npc's names>" and "Inlet to the east", etc.
After killing the oboron, no one got the fish but we got the win anyway.
Blue Versus Red is extremely easy to do without a SAM 2-houring... Just go with the NPC's and assist them in killing the Blue's NPC's. They'll pretty much clear everything with you. Just simply cure the NPC's to keep them alive
The Red's NPC's are for whatever reason much stronger then the Immortals, so they really don't need any help at all until they reach the Blue's leader

No, if any Elvaans die you lose points. But in all honesty, its somewhat hard to get the elvaans to die <.< Just cure them, heh. we were 4 people and won it easily just fighting with the NPC's
Fun part is that its somewhat random though. Some times the Blue team will attack you, which is preferably, since the Red team's leader kills them all with tier 3 agas. And some times, your team will split up in two to kill the blue team, at this time you just follow them and cure them. Eventually they'll assault the blue team's leader. I'm sure we could have won it just as easily with 3 people. Sure, a SAM 2-houring beat it in 30 sec, but you then you also waste a 2-hour. If you fight with the NPC's you can beat it in 15 min tops either way, with the same amount of points with no 2-hours lost. Just make sure to bring a healer along to heal the NPC's.
Did you ever go back and win with all 7 ailments to confirm ap gained? My group would like to get some points in this zone but 1666 everytime from Red v. Blue is hard to stray from >.< Thanks in adavance.Originally Posted by Almalexia
