You are correct. 52 was not an event, 52 was a milestone that redefined the way that comics could be created. The word "event" is not strong enough to explain what DC did by producing 52 and now Countdown.

I believe so, even though he is currently with Excalibur in England, and not nearly as powerful as he used to be.
