Shadows of the Departed and Promyvons

I was just curious is it possible to get to the top of the Promyvons as 2 SMNs? I just need that silver item for the SoD quest, and I know they made promyvons easier, just wanted to know how much easier.

The only problem is the Memory receptables which spawns those little strays ( rng one shots em ).
But its easy to not agro anything at all. I recently went up there with pickup noobs. Promies are a Kindergarten now.

I figured, so you still need a descent sized party to kill Memory Receptacles? damn...

RNG can solo to the top. Easier to duo though. 2RNG, RNG+BLU or something to that effect. BLU pwns everything in there and RNG can solo MRs as long as they just stand back out of the AoE range. It's not hard to get up there.

I duo'd that quest, we both went WAR and called our NPCs. We'd melee the receptacle to keep NPCs sic'd on it, then subtarget-shoot strays with bloody bolts. Au lait helps too. You absolutely need to dodge aggro on the top floor though, those things will kill you in 3 hits. Not sure how much that changed with the current version update.

You can solo to the top as blu/nin, I've done it way before the update. Use feather storm to one-shot the strays, and headbutt + bludgeon to destroy the MRs, along with cocoon and metallic body to buff, and wild oats to debuff. Pretty easy honestly, just bring some yagudo drinks and an RR earring if you're going to try it. The hard part was avoiding aggro, not sure how much easier that is now.

Complete understatement. I'd reckon about 80% of the mobs are gone (maybe not that extreme, but it felt like it). It was incredibly easy to avoid aggro.

I believe 1 person aggroed once (and they were being a bit lazy about avoiding >.>) on the way up. On the 4th floor, any aggro we easily ran to the zone.

Re: Shadows of the Departed and Promyvons

I was just roaming around looking for the Weepers and Wanderers that I remember raping me first time I went up.

There are a couple of pockets around the rocks/trees as usual, a few here and there under the remains of structures, and the occasional lonely roamer...

    THATS IT.

We went up and were going after a map NM, and someone pulled it before everyone was ready, pulled it back near the mages, when asked to move they got a link, so 5 or 6 of the 11 there died, and FINALLY I was able to say "This is how promyvion used to look, except it would have just been Weepers kicking our asses En masse."
