I recently deleveled cooking from 100 and completed leathercraft to 100. My mog house is currently overwhelming earth.

I'm about 1/3 of the way on guild points for the Golden Fleece, and I want to have my mog house ready with the proper energy before I get the fleece. The problem that I'm running into is that there are no real quality ice energy boosting furnishings that give me additional storage space as well. Wiki gives about 9 examples, and all of them only give storage +1-2. From the looks of it, I'll just have to suck it up and kill some storage space, and deal with perhaps Tarutaru Folding Screens for the proper energy I'll need.

I read all the previous posts on mog enhancement, but just wanted a recommendation from leathercrafters on which furnishing to use to boost the proper enhancement. Any advice?

Unfortunately there's not much. I have about 6 mannequins and a bunch of bronze beds to balance things out.

theres really not much but this is how i did mine,

golden fleece
8 taru folding screens
3 bronze beds

i also use 8 mannequins for storage space, which leaves me with 68 storage slots, its not the greatest since beds and screens are only 1 storage each like you said but the mannequins make up for this a bit and still achieve Moghancement: Leathercraft

Ice energy sucks. I use a bunch of ugly taru folding screens and a couple bronze beds PLUS I can't have all of my mannequins out. Annoys the hell out of me.

Wish we had some easy energy like earth, water, or fire...

There is that new energy lamp (dark lamp, ice lamp, etc) that was released in the patch before last, but it costs about a million to make on my server. No clue how strong it is.

I got one of those puppies. Not too strong but looks kick ass. Goes good w/ the lava lamp egg.

Just be glad you can use cheap stuff. All the dark stuff costs a grip, OR overpowers mog: bonecraft -.-

True, at least the bed and the ugly screen are cheap! And that horrible globe is so so so so big and ugly! By its name, you'd think it was a cool item, but nope. :/

This is my proposed setup but its not done yet:
8x Mannequin
3x Nation Flags
Fishing Hole Map
Golden Fleece
10x Sky Pot

9 Lightning
9 Wind
9 Fire
9 Water
48 Light
59 Ice
80 (81 Storage)

You only need 8 sky pots and any random ice item to get 50+ (don't need 10, just like round number ), and I have 6 atm. I also don't have the fishing hole map yet or the windy flag. The sky pots are a bitch to get, you get them from brigands chart. I have done a lot of brigands/pirates charts (0 m.kris lol).

Its just one of those longterm goals I have been working on, may not be realistic for most people.

edit: i just use the aforementioned cheap ice stuff for the time being. I haven't done brigands/pirates in about 3 months, thanks for reminding me i need to start again

Thanks for the tips. I think I might just have to live with an ugly as hell mog house and go the cheap/fast way with Bronze Beds and Tarutaru Folding Screens. I have level 72 fishing, but I'm just too lazy to get those charts for the sky pots.

But yea, compared to the other elemental energies, Ice is definitely annoying

"Only" 8. I spent months and tens of thousands of gil on fish. Only got one chart. From that one chart I got two rusty armor pieces and one silver beastcoin.

I hate the new fishing system so much, so I bought any fish on sale at the AH in addition to fishing them up myself. All that time, effort, and gil wasted...

Neither is fishing them under this horrible new system. ("new", ha ha, what is it now, a couple years old?) I used to fish many hours every single day, now I hate it. Anything that will let me fish less is a good idea.

i like the new system. it makes fishing more interesting. old fishing was just pressing enter.

Yeah, but you could chat, watch TV, heck even read a book under the old system. Fishing was a social event on my LS -- 30 or 40 of us around a lake, chatting for hours as we fished. Try chatting while fishing with the new system! Not to mention, if you're the very slightest bit prone to RSI, the new system causes physical RL pain. If I fish for an hour, my hand is numb the entire next day, then the day after that is spent with my fingers tingling. For fishing on a game.

So very totally not worth it for me, thus I bought fish when I could.

i could see why you don't like it if it gives you injuries, but i chat and watch movies while i fish, but i have pretty much mastered fishing out of my peripheral vision. and people get used to my sentences being broken when i catch a fish.

but you can't fault the fishing system for something that happens which is a problem with lots of video games, i get the same thing with my gba sp, so i mostly play on my ds lite (hand numbing thing). i'm sorry to hear that it causes you pain to fish.

I'd love to get my hands on some Sky Pots, but until then (or something better comes along), my Mog House will be like a Hotel with all the beds I have in it.

I think I have like 5-6 Beds in there currently to offset 3 Mannequins.

Forgive me if I'm asking an obvious question, but is there a crafting benefit towards strengthening the ice energy for leathercraft? 99% of the time I use earth crystals for synths. I don't really see the benefit, b/c tarutaru screens and bronze beds both only add one storage, but you need one safe slot to add them to your layout. So you're basically gaining no inventory space doing this. I always just left my fleece in my moghouse as the only item in my layout, but perhaps you guys add other things b/c the stronger ice element in your mog house does something significant, other than being able to add other things of different elements to add more storage?
