^^ never know who they asked to play him, I know alot of voice actors don't like to be filmed while doing the voice for some reason
^the makeup is trying to be realistic to his craziness so the makeup tries to reflect that, but you know how realism in fantasy movies go; like how michael bay didn't want megatron to be the walther p38 anymore because he wanted "realism" and size changes wouldn't be "real", hello its a movie about talking alien robots that change into vehicles what more realism do you need...

here is another pic, not too good but you can see him in the light at least
Although we are great allies and friends, one day, one day all you BG forum goers, there will be a great war. A war that will alter the threads of time history.Originally Posted by Septimus

I will pick Jack Nicholson and he will pick Mark Hamil, and the very space-time continuum will be shattered.
Jack Nicholson was a decent Joker, but I don't think he was great at it. a little to wide imo, tho he was better than Caeser Romero with the makeup over his mustache.

And it will end when there's a marathon of their work and you can barely recognize Mark Hammil in roles other than Luke Skywalker because he's a fucking amazing actor, but Jack Nicholson will always be a big hairless blotch in the center of the screen, with giant neon signs pointing at him that say "ATTENTION: PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS JACK NICHOLSON. JACK NICHOLSON IS JUST BELOW THIS SIGN. PLEASE FOLLOW THE ARROWS TO JACK NICHOLSON."Originally Posted by Daahan
We will disagree about this for eternity. I think that Jack Nicholson phoned in his same performance as the Joker. You think something that is completely illogical and wrong. Watch any of his films, he always plays the same character, much like Christopher Walken. But unlike Christopher Walken, Jack Nicholson has a volume control on his performance so that he can have a little bit of Jack Nicholson (A Few Good Men, As Good as it Gets) or a whole freakin' lotta Jack Nicholson. (Batman, Witches of Eastwick)Originally Posted by Daahan
Whether or not you like the character that he plays, it certainly was not the Joker. Pick up a few comics that the Joker is in, you will see that Tim Burton's film had nothing to do with the Joker.
I wouldn't even count Caeser Romero as the Joker since it was a radically different character back then. Back then the Joker was a fairly harmless prankster, not the homicidal clown that we know today.Originally Posted by Remy0

I'd also like to take this opportunity to point out the following actor that always play the same character: Vince Vaughn. This talentless hack always plays the same smarmy, sarcastic, witty, laid back guy.Originally Posted by Septimus
Also, the Mark Hamill arguments need to stop. Not everyone watched the batman cartoons, and believe it or not there are fans of the Batman franchise that were born before 1990. He may be a great voice actor for the Joker, but he's not a big name actor outside of the Star Wars series and won't draw an audience like a Heath Ledger or a Jack Nicholson. I'm sure Heath was probably forced upon Christopher Nolan by the movie studio, as they like to take an artistically accurate film and turn it into a campy summer popcorn movie.
I will say that Jack Nicholson used to put effort into acting, I don't think that Vince Vaughn ever has.Originally Posted by Norelco
People would go to see a Batman movie were it filled with actors that no one knew. Take Superman Returns for example, did people go see the movie for the actors? Kevin Spacey was the only famous person in the film (computer Brando doesn't count), yet it grossed $391 million worldwide during its theatrical release. Hell, even Christian Bale isn't a big name actor, before Batman Begins people might remember him as "that crazy guy in that one movie".

I had the same reaction as Septimus when I saw that picture. I've never seen it, but then again I'm not exactly the world's leading expert on movies.Originally Posted by MF Perm
