So with the new movie, Maggie is playing Rachel Dawes, and in the first, Katie played this role...

What the fuck? someone explain this please.

Probably that Katie Holmes is such a pain to work with anymore because she comes with a fleet of Scientologists making demands and trying to convert the rest of the cast and crew.

Just a guess though.

I thought it was because Tom Cruise wouldn't let her? Something about the role not being very moral or in tune with Scientology or some dumb shit like that.

I dont' like her anyway, I dont' think she's a very good actress and every scene she was in I hated because she ruined it. I know you're not supposed to like her character, but even characters you're not supposed to like can be like-able if the actor has any charisma.

Well i'm not exactly concerned with why she stopped, but how are they ever gonna fucking work the story around, it basicly ruins all of the magic of a movie...
I would have rather seen them enter a new lady, being as bruce dated tons, rather then rehashing an old one with a new actress. Raz Alguls daughter comes to mind.

Eh, they both have dark hair and downs syndrome eyes. The change shouldn't be too bad.

I don't think changing actress' is all that bad. Going from jodie foster to julianne moore in the hannibal movies didn't hurt them at all and that was the main character other than lector. It can work if it's done right, depends on how well the new girl does i suppose.

Like i said i really didn't see any chemistry between katie and her character, that could've been anyone and i couldn't have cared less. Hopefully this new person brings some personality to the role.

Perhaps Nolan didn't want it to be like the other Batman movies where there was a new love interest in each one. I guess a little continuity doesn't hurt, but I just hate to see a role reprised by someone else, even if they sucked.
