I'm new of course but am having trouble shooting anything that looks mildly professional. I get aperture, ISO speed, shutter speed, all of that but I guess I just can't find a good scene. Is a lot of stuff done in post production to enhance pics? I'm a bit of a photoshop wizard so that'd help.
Getting a long lens or a macro lens and shooting something with a wide open aperture, with large & soft lightsource does wonders for making something look "professional." I just recommend not shooting anything in harsh straight sunlight. And if you're shooting in open shade, color balance it appropriately so it doesn't have a blue tint.

Thought this article fits quite well in here.

I liked the first one, I wasn't sure where I was meant to look in the second.
Love the colors in this one (HDR again):

HDR is great if you're using it for a situation that calls for it and know what you're doing...
Unlike: this.

Where do you live Stalkmore? I lived in SLO for 4 years, I worked downtown at Audio Ecstasy. I thought that first picture looked familiar then I saw the Madonna Inn pic. Those are good pictures by the way.
all of these are really awesome![]()
