Doesn't that make a huge statement in favour of the Shura Togi? It's debatably 'as good' as the Hauby (missing only the STR and DEX, but adds extra attack) and doesn't give the big -eva. I'll admit that I favour it, but I play mostly MNK so I may have MNK on the brain.
Yep, I don't have a d.body abj yet though. Or gil for the cursed togi right now either, and I'd feel like a dick lotting an abj I can't afford the cursed piece for.

The Koga Chainmail also looks very appealing to me for the same reason. But I'm not NIN main-lot in Dynamis, and there's a bunch of people in line in front of me for it still before it gets "junk" status. I'm leveling MNK now though too, so I think I'd prefer Shura for the inventory +1 over having both.

While the shura body or Hauby+1 would increase the damage of each of your hits, help you lands more hits (I would wager a better increase in damage from the extra hits and attack then the measly extra 5 swings in 100 from the af body).

Af body is fun, but it just doesnt really compare to haub/shura for damage, but then again i havent experienced on anything so low on evasion that i can just toss out my accuracy and go hog wild in a long long time.. friggen bird camp >.>
Knit-pick: No one rebuilds TP from 0 unless a mob moves out of range when they weaponskill (or a colibri resets their tp).

    Real discussion:

Changes in Store:TP and dual weild only matter if they change the number of attack rounds you need to get back to 100.

You get TP back to 100 faster with fast katanas and as much dual weild/haste as you can get (assuming you're still hitting), even if they add an attack round. Just get out a stop watch and test it yourself.

However, since sushi = overloaded on accuracy for pretty much any merit-level mob (lurkers), so if you're eating sushi -> ninja chainmail. If you're eating meat, then you (may) need more accuracy from gear, so if you're eating meat -> Haub(+1).

With regaurd to other +acc body peices (shura, koga, SH, P. body), the main argument for using those over Haub(+1) is that people don't like the -eva and -agi on haub. This directly acknowledges that Haub(+1 especially) is simply better as a DD peice than the other choices.

shit is highly situational--as many have said.

basically- most people have said what I agree w/-- that if you need acc-- go w/ hauby/shura/etc... if you don't- af1 works nicely. Also dependant on what u are eating.

5% haste on weapon swings is nice- and certainly not noticable re: lowered tp-- at least to me.

I still use af1 for tp gain, and I out parse most everythign I meripo w/-- including bb mnks (this is a 100+ mob type marathon meripo kinda deal). On mamools my accuracy is usually 8-10% lower than wars, but I end up out parsing because of the increased # of ws over the long haul- and also end up hitting the mob more than 1000 more times than anyone else.

BUT- when i get my hands on a hauby+1-- I am looking forward to parsing them against eachother (af1+1 vs hauby+1). My gut says that it all depends on the timeframe of the meripo. shorter meripo = hauby +1--- longer meripo = af1+1.

Basically- if you don't have any of the leet shit-- (hauby +1, af2, or shura) af1 is very nice piece.

You trivialize the swing-speed contribution by failing to account for increasing returns on Dual Wield. Given other equipment in a max swing speed build :

    DW IV (0.3) + Suppa (0.05) = 0.35 total.

    1 - 0.35 = 0.65 times base delay.

AF1 takes you from 0.65 down to 0.60. That's roughly a 7.7% reduction in swing delay. If you throw in AF legs, the boost gets heftier. But hopefully anyone with a Haidate knows better than to do that for other considerations.

If your ACC is good, AF1 is pretty badass. End of story.

What's worked for me is parsing for 5 to 10 min. If I can stay over 80% ACC with AF body I stick with it, and if I'm not I swap Hauby in. I know 5 to 10 is small sample size to make a definite decision on when meriting, but its been enough for me typically.

Like everyone has said, its very situational and very dependent on the rest of your gear.

I honestly don't know how you people are overloading on accuracy as Ninja. I'm 8/8 Katana, use Acc rings, Specs, Swift Belt, and Sushi and my hit rate is usually high 80s maybe no where near the cap. Of course that isn't Sniper+1s, PCC, Haidate, Fire Bomblet, that Acc+6 mantle, ect but I haven't met many Ninjas that ever capped Acc no matter what gear.
Edit: On topic I recently got my Koga Body a few days ago and the few times I have merited with it I absolutely loved it. I miss my hundred katanas but the parse isn't really changing from what I can tell.

You don't have to "cap" ACC for the switch to chainmail to be your better option. It is acceptable to lose some ACC in favor of the 7.7% swing delay reduction (that figure assumes you have a Suppa). With some of the recent gifts from SE, it's pretty hard for me to not TP in AF1 though. Perdu and Bomblet have pushed my ACC up enough that I can move over to chainmail without sweating it on Mamools. Just a few more ACC pieces and I'll be in range of eating meat in a single-BRD party for most camps, but for now I'm happy parsing in the high 80%s with sushi and chainmail.

Koga body is hot for pickup groups that can't take hate from you and you need ACC. I hate using DD body pieces with retarded side-effects when I'm stuck solo tanking the whole time (-20 evasion from Haub and -50 HP on shura... yeah, taru HP). Koga is what I wear in pickup parties that go kill birds, or when I'm duo/trio'ing merits on Puks or Imps.

Maybe I don't find AF body as that good of a piece because I chose Bushi instead of Suppa so its not 7.7% like you said

Meh. I've had Suppa for roughly 24 hours, and it was still good before that.

    0.70 -> 0.65 is a 7.14% delay reduction. That's still pretty hot.

How did you get 7.7% again?

    0.60 / 0.65 - 1?

    (0.65 - 0.60) / 0.65 = 0.07692

7.7% reduction of the base delay before equipping chainmail.

Edit : I realize this is probably usable as nothing more than an approximation since SE likes to use byte-represenation for haste components.
