I am a MNK and do have the feet! No they do not have any kick attack bonus on them. However, I do think they are better then Dunes. Even with full kick merits, I don't feel you kick enough to warrant using Dunes over these.

I'll have to disagree with this. It's not a lack of caring about holding hate, it's actually bad for the party to try. I've been in merit parties where I have near 100% of the hate because of really weak DDs and myself first voking everything. And it's horrible for exp. There's no way to keep up shadows with 100% of the hate, and you'll just start taking a beating and MP will run out fast. It's bouncing hate amongst people with 'shadows' that makes merit parties work so well.

On the other side of the coin (HNMs), the feet are really nice for NIN/DRK. Haste for lowering recasts, and a huge amount of enmity for making the spells build more hate is awesome.

Not to mention if you are partying with mnk/wars, them counter-tanking is a lot of extra damage you wouldn't otherwise have. Though I guess this set up isn't feasible for parties that don't have enough healing to handle it outside of KRT or something.

The answer is that usukane are better at some degree of total haste, possibly as low as 0.

Oh ok. I was kind of looking for the math for it.. maybe I'll stop being lazy and plug numbers in formulas. Anyways, going for these since Marduk Body is still mostly unattainable. :/

If I can tank shit on MNK without blinking an eye then a NIN better be able to with more skills. I understand the fact that the NIN isn't always going to hold hate and I was more so referring to the shitty NINs from pick-up parties, which I don't even do anymore. If a NIN can't tank a freaken xp mob though without getting their ass kicked.. lol..

Quite simply I was pointing out the fact that these are the best possible feet for any of the jobs that can wear.

I'm defintely not as up on the math, but I would say they seem like they would obviously beat Dunes for WS, duh, but that they would probably be relatively neck & neck for dot.

I think it depends on the mnks pants too :S If they're not lucky enough to get haidates and only have Melee hose which have kicks+6, then the dunes might be better for DoT.

Not that it really matters, but Melee Hose have Kick Attacks +5, and Bahamut's Hose have Kick Attacks +6.
