    Hacker intrusions

My Kaspersky Antivirus keeps detecting these hacker intrusions from random IPs, and it's kinda annoying. The attack description is gives is "Intrusion.win.MSSQL.worm.Helkern". And like I said, they all come from different IPs (spoofs, I'm guessing), and always hit the same local port on my computer. Is there anything I can do to prevent this from happening?

    1. block the port
    2. put a nat router between you and modem
    3. Uncheck 'Enable real-time protection against network attacks' in zaparsky (stealth mode)

any of the above should work. Its a variant of the slammer virus, trying to exploit mssql 2k.

    1. How do I go about blocking a port? I'm looking for the option in Kaspersky, but can't find it.

    2. I'm gonna get around to doing this at some point in the future. >_>

    3. If I uncheck stealth mode, won't that make me more susceptible to attacks?

it seem like you doesn't own a router(?). usually router will automatically do these job for you.
