I know it wouldn't happen, but I'd like to see Setzer. 8) Sabin is probably a decent choice for a VI character for obvious reasons (in terms of fighter mechanics/variety), though I suppose you could maybe say the same for Tifa. Locke is definitely a possibility; kind of hard to decide on how likely Terra would be. Cyan might have a decent chance...

They better add Balthier. I don't have a PSP and have no plans of getting one, but still... Balthier!

FFVII Rocked for the Materia System, less for the storyline IMO. It was one of the first games of it's time to yield such a tear jerking death though, if one had to mention anything. Other then that, I don't like the Sep BS, ZOMG FIRE...it's been done, shiiiit.

Lol, should have waited a few days to necro it on the one year anniversary of the last post. But on topic, PSP controls suck for fighting games, so I'm not even that interested in this. -_-

Probably buy it just to see some new life breathed into the old 2d characters (locke ftw) but that's about it.

Do you own a PSP slim? It really controls fine for fighting games, just takes a bit of adjustment. The relativeness smallness compared to a joystick or even a PS controller makes it hard for some things (Roman Cancels in Guilty Gear X2 immediately come to mind), but for like, Tekken : DR or SFA3, I don't really have any issues with the controls (yes, even 720 Super Combos).

Also, it's highly unlikely Square would make the game overly complex to control, none of the fighting games they've produced over the years are overly reliable on having to have millisecond precision with your moves or having to deal with Summon Suffering style control inputs.

But anyway, after seeing the new trailer, wow. I can't believe they're even acknowledging that FF2 exists. Lineup looks solid though. I'm glad it's not falling into the Nomura fanservice selection that KH goes through. (For the most part.)
