Then a few years will go by and those little shitmachines will have grown into full-on adult angstmachines. They will probably come into work one day and shoot and/or stab everyone in the office, possibly including you or me, because we all know that simulated violence is so close to the real thing that it not only gives you the strength, but also the nerves of steel necessary to gut real people with a hunting knife. Fucking video games, making kids so violent!

Well, I gotta get back to my training on Madden 2008. I'm going to be a quarterback in the NFL when I grow up!

I definately agree Ivve. I noticed that in a group of friends I have. They all got married around the same time, and now theyre popping out kids at the same time now also. 1 couple got pregnant, now its like everyone caught the baby cold and are having their own.

I went to a party recently, and it was baby central. The party was not a childs birthday party, it was a college graduation party. I definately dont fit in there anymore. Ive always held the idea of going to school, meeting someone, starting a career, getting married, becoming financially stable, doing some travelling, THEN having children. But it seems I'm the minority these days.

That's the same mindset of me and my fiancee. I'm 27 and she's 25 and we're still looking at at least 5-10 years before having kids, if any at all. I don't see any reason to have children really. It's a selfish act to begin with that just panders to your ego, and then you likely realize what you've done far too late. I couldn't imagine doing what my parents did and have 3 kids before my mom was 25.

Christ, don't even get me started on breeders. I could go on for days.

On a serious note in relation to the topic at hand, it comes down to parenting. If your kids can play one violent video game in their teens and it's enough to completely derail/nullify everything you've ever taught them about right and wrong, then you are a shitty parent and you should not be allowed to keep your children or have any more. You don't have to know everything that your kid is doing at all times; that's counter to the point. You should have raised your kids with good enough judgment that even when they are not under your direct fucking supervision, they can make good choices. I had shitty, terrible parents and I still managed to come away with that much from them. There's no excuse, unless your kid is a goddamned psychopath.

Allegedly a report of some of Manhunt 2's content, and after reading it, I can kind of understand where they were going with this rating.

The ultra-violent videogame Manhunt 2 allows you to rape a woman shortly after you beheaded her in the brothel level called Honey Pot. Members of the ESRB were shocked when Daniel Lamb used his male reproduction organ and simulated a penetration in the bloody hole. Other gruesome parts include microwaving a living cat to death and being a witness of necrophilia in a cemetery in one of the later stage of the game.
I say allegedly because no source has been given.

Perhaps in bad taste, but you can't legislate taste. Well, you obviously can because they did, but I mean to say that it shouldn't happen. I should not be prevented from putting a cat made of pixels into a microwave made of pixels just because Johnny-ten-year-old would shit himself if he saw that on the screen.

Re: Ok,Parents Need to Start Parenting

I can just understand how they ruled on this. Yes, playing a game like this is probably not going to produce the next mass murderer or anything to that extreme. However, I work in a criminal law office, and read police reports/seeing graphic images of crimes and crime victims daily. I can see how its disrespectful it is to, both the victims and the families of victims, to release a game like this.

Now, whether it should have been up to the government to regulate a game like this, I cant say. But I still hold my opinion that its distasteful.

Oh, I forgot. A major factor in this decision will have been the murder case where a kid was murdered by an older kid obsessed with Manhunt allegedly: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/l...re/3934277.stm

Manhunt sucks so not a total loss with it being banned. I do love how people seem to think video games promoate horrible violence. Lets not look at horrible shit movies like Saw and Hostel though. Remeber that in America horrible horrible violence is totally fine but you cant say "fuck".

I agree with what's been said about it being in poor taste. I don't agree, however, that video games cause violent behavior in children. If you are capable of blurring the lines between fantasy and reality based on your experience with a single game, a single movie, or a single music album, then you have psychological issues. When I was an angsty, "non-conformist," rebellious teenager, which wasn't very long ago, I listened to Marylin Manson. I never shot up my school, or even entertained thoughts like that. I've played tons of hack-n-slash and combat games, and I have not ever tried to rip someone's skeleton out of their skin and throw them into a pit of spikes. The only time I've even entertained thoughts like that were when I was dealing with comcast and trying to get their reps to fix my fucking internet. I've seen all sorts of grisly films, ranging from big-budget horror movies like "Hostel" to CNN footage of soldiers in Iraq being sniped to weird videos linked on various forums in which people are exploded or mutilated or something like that. And yet, here I am, typing this paragraph without a single homocide or manslaughter under my belt.

The fact of the matter is that the majority of people are exposed every day to violence and gore, and yet, by comparison, there are relatively few cases of children going fucking nuts and committing atrocities like the one linked by Shuemue . The problem is not the violent material. The problem is that these children have larger/underlying psychological issues that lead them to be obsessed with killing and violence. These are not normal children to begin with, and then exposing them to material that is clearly intended for no children of any kind, normal or not, is a problem. In that particular story, the kid's parents appear to have been aware of his obsession with the game, which I am sure they knew he shouldn't have had in the first place, and yet they failed to act. They failed to take the game away and they failed to seek psychiatric help for his obsession. Yet, here we are having a conversation about how this is the fault of the people who made the game. Are we going to start prosecuting the makers of guns, next, instead of the people who use them?

Guns are also banned in the UK and we have a far lower proportion of gun murders.

Well whether the game sucks or not, what happened doesnt sound too far fetched considered what Shuemue posted. Personally, I wouldnt want my kid playing that game. Of course, Id take it upon myself to enforce that rule, it all goes back to knowing whats going on in your kids life.

Unzip your pants and put the Wii controller in the hole, then start humping.

Or you can use the optional dildo attachment for only $20, you can get it for $40 in a pack that comes with tennis racket, baseball bat, golf club and rape dildo.
