i partially agree with what she said, but how can she say it's not a clash of religious and modern values when the constitutions of SAE and other islamic nations are so closely tied to the koran. plus, the fundamental religious values are what is preventing and undermining the establishment of gender equality, such as women's suffrage, freespeech, etc in the these countries. religion is the root of "backwardness" she's mentioned, and it won't change for the better without lessening the grasp religion has on those societies.
