Temenos BLM AF+1 item. BLMx3 setup. Best route? Best strat?

Hi there,

even though I'm a limbus veteran, I never really paid attention to what temenos route dropped most of what AF+1 item and so on. I plan to manaburn with 2 fellow BLM to obtain some BLM AF+1 material from temenos. It's either Temenos East or North:

I'm thinking Temenos North is definitely the easiest (no astral flow risk all the time), would people who have tried this agree?

Do some people know what are the floors in TemNorth which have the best chance of dropping BLM AF+1 item? I heard Moblin floor sucks, for instance, but I really don't know much more. I still have this feeling from all my runs that some items drop some jobs more than others. If someone has informatio non that, it would be great. I know some fellow BLM solo TemNorth for BLM AF+1, if thye could tell me what chest they aim at?

PS: Alternatively, I could go with 3 friends with the setup: NIN WAR BLM RDM, would that be more efficient, chest and time-wise?

Ah Crap, my memory is failing me at the moment...however if North is the one I think it is.... you shouldn't have a problem..but I would rather manaburn the elementals down with 3 BLM's in...west? as long as your decently skilled. I don't know if you mentioned it in the Original Post, but you could also do the 3 Kings Apollyon zone, Gravity is really effective in there, and 3 BLM's can take it out pretty well.

edit: As far as best strategy? It's best to see how you work together. If your doing a small group, just try it out with 1 idea, and modify as you go.

i know for a fact that it drops commonly in the elemental path, and i THINK, however i don't remember for sure, that it drops more rarely in the beastmen path. i also know for a fact that it does not drop in the monster path (starts with the kitty floor) as my group used to farm that path for coinage (don't ask.) and i never once got one there in well over 20 runs.

Drop rate is pretty decent from eles, and with 3 blm you should handle any avatar just fine.

One thing to remember is that the wiki actually lists which floors drop blm af+1 and which ones don't; for example temenos east drops blm on floors 1,2,5,6, and 7; this means get your time chests on 3 & 4. Temenos North drops it on 2,3,4,5 & 6.

As for my experience, temenos north or east BOTH suck in terms of getting the blm drop, you'll get 1 if you're lucky, and competition between 3 blms in a manaburn just makes it worse. Granted since my limbus shell does 2 or 3 times as many Omegas than Ultimas I may just not be seeing enough temenos runs, but GODDAMN do we see no blm af+1 drops. Then again, I'm finally 5/5 on relic (thought it took me 1.5 years of dynamis to do it), so maybe this is how I pay for it. In any case, good luck.

Yeah I agree BLM AF+1 Temenos is the rarest... it drops a lot in apollyon, just not in Temenos... same as NIN or RDM for instance.

well if you tell me it drops more in ele path, maybe it's the way to go. I thought Astral flow was too much of a pain to handle for a small group.

ok assuming we do Elementals, Gravity/Bind-Nuke when possible and Sleep-Nuke the rest ?

I mean at least one of Gravity or Bind will not work Fire Ice and Air ; ; :

Fire: Bind X,
Ice: Bind X,
Air: Gravity X & Bind X,
Earth & Thunder & Water: all good

Air and Earth don't drop BLM according to wiki, that leaves Water, Thunder super easy, Fire and Ice moderately easy.

Astral Flow isn't hard to stun in Temenos East, it'll work even on Titan and Ramuh. The mystic avatars don't have a lot of hp and are weak to magic, run at normal speed, and use Astral Flow predictably just under 50%. With 3 blms, you should have no trouble bouncing hate even with one person dedicated to stunning that move.

The things you should be concerned about are the unavoidable links on the Earth floor, and non-stunnable Thundaga III. Take echo drops for the air floor, and poison potions if you think you can get to the top.

The charging time for astral flow in those area is pretty damn slow. Additionally, I dont think titan and ramuh resist stun there (pretty sure I stunned titan a while back on blm)

His question though was which does it drop more commonly from, and I'm very inclined to believe that certain crates drop certain job's a lot more than others. Case in point: SE Appy. Numerous people have lowmanned that area countless times, I'm no exception. Now, according to the wiki, that 1F chest can drop: RDM, THF, SMN, BRD, DRK. However, in my memory of doing this area, I can recall getting a couple BRD, a couple SMN, no recollection of DRK, and THF or RDM drop like water there.
