Level 8 Besieged

Anyone know what triggers the 3 HNM to attack? Bahamut just saw 3 Lv 8 with no HNMs. Sad Rocl

The only theories I've heard is:

1) They have to be up - however, they appeared on the server up attacks on Bahamut and I'm fairly certain Khim/Hydra/Cerb dont pop right after server up.

2) Second attack plus - however, they definetly came on those first Lv 8 Besiegeds

3) NM Leader summons them - idk about this one, apparently Scalding Fafool Ja summoned the Hydra one? Or so it says on the wiki with a little verification tag. If anyone could confirm/deny <_<

They definitely don't have to be up, we fight these things daily, and yes, they are summoned BST-style by NMs in Besieged.

As far as I can tell, you need not only a level 8 Besieged but the enemy force has to be at 200. Once Midgar hit level 8/200, we had the HNMs show up.

The three-headed puppy was kind of boring and died fast, but hydra was really really cool. Look how big he was!

Unfortunately we lost to that wave, so we didn't get to see the undead HNM.

I was thinking this same thing during besieged. Kept on waiting for them to summon the mobs, but never did. Also, they attacked at 180. Does that mean it will make it's way upto 200 again?

Yeah, he was doing that the other day too during the 3x attacks. Would say where things were and how many left.

Hmmmm, not sure but for all the level 8 I've attended on Siren I've always noticed the HNM were with them. They appear near the end during the last wave it seems. One thing to remember is that they don't have the same names as the actual HNM. Cerberus model is named Gere, Khimaira model is Nemean Lion, and Hydra's doppleganger is Illuyankas. So don't expect people to shout that Cerberus is hanging around. If someone mentions Gere it actually isn't because they're elated about just having watched Pretty Woman.

Yeah, none of them were "summoned" so to speak like during the first level8 right after the update. Which leads me to believe that they will only appear when they attack at 190 or 200.

There's a jp on Diabolo's who does this every single besieged. Any day of the week any time of the day ive been in one, he's been there calling mobs, and where they are lol

We have people on Siren that do this as well. I dont do besieged enough to determine if it helps that much though...

Every besieged we get on CS is always LV8, with those damn HNM, lol. I haven't seen anything below LV8 in a long time =/

We have people on Siren that do this as well. I dont do besieged enough to determine if it helps that much though...

It helps a very very lot, especially near the end. Nothing like wasting your time running through the empty zone looking for the last mobs!

too bad they're summoned though. it would be very funny to suddenly see khimera charging through thickets directly at you, only to pass you by. then again, how would they get something that titanic through the gates? dumb Aht Uragan designers, had they made the front gates smaller, the trolls would have been too big to fit inside!

last night we had a bunch of people from the linkshell attend a level 8 besieged.. and tbh it was more fun than i expected... we were goin around killing stuff together and when mobs ran out in our area, it woulda been nice to have someone calling out where the rest of the mobs were, where the generals were, and what the general status of the besieged was.. (there used to be this jp taru that did it, and i always thought what a waste of time it was, but it does help getting people to the mobs much faster)

i didnt take note of what army the trolls were, but cerberus was brought in the last wave... after he died, the trolls retreated when gurfurgul(sp) as at like 60% shortly after

Weirdest thing happened on Siren 2 nights ago at a level 8 Besieged.

We had killed Gere. body depopped and another Gere with Full HP showed up.

The Beastmen retreated shortly after though so we didn't get a chance to kill the second one.

I always just find a Bst and ask him periodically to check /scan for whats up/where.

Usually Im less worried abuot shouting the location of the mobs, more about "for the love of god can we get some more people over here to pull this clusterfuck off of Zaz?"
